RASHVIK'S POV-

“What!?”
Did I hear it right, did he just ask me to get married? After all the things happened, once again? No way.

“What are you saying dad? Are you serious?” I asked in disbelief.

“Beta listen to me first carefully, let me explain the whole situation” Dad said and I nodded my head, then he continued

“Remember me and sanjay used to be really good friends, we were business partner for very long time”
I was listening silently,Reyansh and Rakshit were listening too, exchanging glances to each other

Dad continued,

“We both always talked about how it'll be when our children grow up, he was very protective of his daughter and feared letting her see this world.

One day he asked me, ‘if my daughter and your son found their life partner then it's all good, but if there Will be no one in their life then can we ask our children to marry each other?’

I was really shocked at first but eventually I said yes because we were really close and who wouldn't want a good relationship of their child.

Everything was going good, our business was doing great, and we were getting closer day by day, but one night I got a call that Sanjay had an accident and was in critical situation, when I reached hospital, he was holding his daughter really close, taking his last breath, he handed me a letter and closed his eyes forever. I was not able to process anything.

You asked me what is written in the letter, remember?” Dad asked me, to which I nodded as a yes

“I said once you'll grow up I'll tell you everything,
In that letter Sanjay asked me to take care of her daughter, he told me about the apartment and company which is in the name of his daughter, and many other things and also he asked me to make his daughter my daughter in law if possible.

I wanted to tell you about all this when you were in college beta, but you were in love with Akriti, so I never told you about this, but now you are not dating anyone, and also Advik should get all the love of mother, don't you think?” p

I instantly got angry hearing her name, I don't even want to remember her.

“How about that girl dad, does she know about all this? Will she accept this? Will she treat Pichu like her own son? I don't want to marry anyone dad”
I said looking at pichu

“I will meet her tomorrow, and tell everything . I've been watching her since Sanjay passed away, she is a really nice girl perfect for you.” Dad said looking at me with hopeful eyes

“No dad, I can't do this, I DON'T WANT TO GET MARRIED ONCE AGAIN” I screamed in frustration because all this was really too much for me to handle.

“dadda why you angwy”asked the little boy with tears in his eyes

Rashvik picked him up, wiping his tears and said

“I'm not angry betu, me and dadu are talking, go and play with your toys hm”
He pecked Pichu's cheeks and put him down.

“Rashvik, please just this one time believe in me , I'll never ask anything from you, just this time please listen to me”

“Dad it's not like that, you can ask anything from me, anytime but marriage, damn! I don't even know that girl” I was not able to process anything

“beta I'm going to meet her tomorrow, if she says yes then fine otherwise I'm not going to force both of you.. Is that okay with you?”

“Do whatever you want to do pa, it's up to you now” I said with no emotion
