Long chapter ahead~
SARAKSHI'S POV-
After leaving the shop we headed directly to Aashik's house. The car ride was silent as usual but Pichu was talking to me occasionally.
"Mumma" Pichu said and made grabby hands from the backseat.
"Does Babu want to come to me?" I asked in a playful baby voice, his face lit up with excitement, nodding enthusiastically. "Come here, my little one" I said, reaching back to pick him up and carefully placing him on my lap.
"Don't call him Babu, I gave him the name Pichu." Mr. Rude said, his eyes focused on the road ahead
"No, I'll call him Babu" I said in a low voice
"No his name is Pichu" he retorted
"His name is Advik, Pichu is his nickname and I can call him whatever I want" I said whining looking out of the window
Mr. Rude chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "No, you can't" he replied
"Yes I can" I said, now looking at him as his gaze was still focused on the road
"No—okay, fine. I don't want to bicker with you like a kid" he said with a shrug, A victorious smile spread across my face as I inwardly celebrated. 'Yesssss, har gaye na Rude Singh,' I thought with an evil laugh, stealing a quick glance at him. To my surprise, he was smiling widely, shaking his head in disbelief. The sight of that unexpected, genuine smile made my heart flutter, making my day even better.
"Mumma" Pichu said again, drawing my attention back to him with an adorable pout.
"Betuu" I mimicked his whiny tone,
"Owahh, see!" he babbled, his tiny finger pointing excitedly at the passing cars outside the window. His wide eyes were full of wonder as he tried to share the sight with me, making me smile. It's amazing how easily kids are entertained—he sees these cars every day, but his excitement never fades. Watching him enjoy the simple things always makes me smile.
"Babu loves cars?" I asked, placing a soft kiss on his forehead. He nodded eagerly, making me giggle.
"Akhir beta kiska hai" Mr. Rude chimed in, intruding on our little mother-son moment. Can't he just focus on driving?
Curiosity got the better of me, so I asked, "You love cars?"
"Obviously, yes. It's in our blood to love cars—Dad, me, Ansh, Aksh, and now my baby" he replied, his excitement palpable.
"Oh, I didn't know that" I admitted, taken aback by the proud smile that spread across his face.
He continued with a smirk. "I guess you haven't seen the basement garage, have you? It's filled with cars and bikes."
My eyes widened in shock. "We have a basement?" I asked, my voice a bit louder than I intended.
"Yes, we do. The parking area leads down to it" he explained, taking a right turn with one hand in a smooth, confident motion that, I hate to admit, was incredibly attractive. Focus, I reminded myself.
"The car I drive now was a gift from Dad. It's one of my favorites" he continued a fond smile on his lips. "I even painted it once, though I can't remember when exactly—"
"During the October exhibition last year," I interrupted, recalling "It wasn't up for sale, though."
He went silent, his expression softening as he gripped the steering wheel with both hands. "You remember?" he asked in a low voice, chuckling softly. "I made it for myself, but my secretary messed up and sent it to the exhibition instead of the one meant for sale."
