AUTHOR'S POV-

TWO DAYS BEFORE EXAM-

"Saraaaa, I was telling you to go shopping for so many days, but tab ghar se nikalna nahi ho raha tha. Ab exam ke do din pehle shopping jana hai?" Ananya whined, folding her arms with a dramatic pout. Sarakshi giggled innocently at her antics.

(But you weren't able to leave the house before. And now, just two days before the exam, you want to go shopping?)

"Please, bestieee! You know na, I can't go without you," Sarakshi pleaded, looking at her with puppy eyes and a soft smile.

Vivaan shook his head at the two girls' dramatic exchange and continued working.

"Haan madam, apni puri padhai kar li hai exam ki, toh kya tension?" Ananya mocked, squinting her eyes playfully as she leaned against Vivaan. She had claimed her usual spot between him and Sarakshi. Vivaan, already used to her antics, casually sneaked his arm around her, letting her rest properly.

(Yes madam, you have studied for exam so no tension?)

"Hey, it's nothing like that! I haven't studied anything," Sarakshi protested, though she couldn't help but smile as she watched them sit together adorably.

"Okay, okay, Sara baby," Ananya said with a chuckle. "We'll go shopping after classes. Done!" she declared, and Sarakshi clapped enthusiastically.

"Today?" Vivaan asked, surprised, and both the girls hummed in response.

"Don't worry, I'll be back before evening," Ananya reassured him, and Vivaan nodded.

"Are you guys going somewhere?" Sarakshi asked curiously, watching the two exchange sheepish glances.

"We haven't gone anywhere in a long time, so I decided to take her on a date," Vivaan admitted shyly. "Aur mummy ko isse milna hai. Bahut din se mili nahi hai na... aur bohot din se matlab hai 3-4 din se," he added with a teasing smirk, making Ananya nudge him.

(And mummy wants to meet her. She hasn't met her in so long... and by so long, I mean 3-4 days)

"Aww, you both are too cute!" Sarakshi cooed, pinching both their cheeks. "Aur beta, badi badi baatein kar rahi thi, haan? Padhna hai, toh date pe jaane ka time kahan se aa gaya?" She folded her arms, glaring at Ananya.

(And, you were talking all big, huh? If you have to study, then where did you find the time to go on a date?)

"It's not like that," Ananya chuckled. "And he isn't telling you the real reason why he's taking me on a date. The truth is, his mummy scolded him, saying he doesn't care about me and never takes me anywhere. She loves me more than him," she added, laughing. Sarakshi joined her, while Vivaan glared at them in embarrassment.

"I only get scolded because of her! Every time, she complains to mummy," Vivaan scoffed.

"Aur tu nahi karta hai kya? Mummy toh yaha nahi hoke bhi mujhe daant ti hai, saying 'Vivaan ko pareshaan mat kiya kar,'" Ananya retorted, sitting up straight. Her parents lived in Jaipur, handling their business, while Neeraj managed everything here-now taken over by Prachi.

(And don't you do the same? Mummy scolds me even when she's not here, saying, 'Don't trouble Vivaan')

"Okay, don't fight, guys!" Sarakshi laughed. It was routine for her to stop their childhood sweetheart quarrels every day. Both of them looked at her and shook their heads.
