AUTHOR'S POV-

The hall went silent as everyone processed what Rashvik had said. He moved closer to them, his eyes fiercely focused on Sarakshi.

He pulled Pichu, who was snuggled in Sarakshi's arms. Still staring at her, his eyes turned red with anger. Despite everyone's attempts to calm him down, he was not ready to listen to anyone.

"Who told you that you can do whatever you want in this home?" he said, glaring at her small, scared figure that didn't dare to look up.

"Bhai what happen-" Rakshit dared to say but Rashvik shot him a glare and said in a low voice

"Don't you dare to interrupt me Aksh." Rakshit immediately stepped back and stood silently

Everyone in the house knew how Rashvik was when he was angry. Nobody dared to say anything. He was the best for his family but the worst for those who dared to hurt them. His family was his priority. Sarakshi had never seen his anger before, but she was about to witness it now.

"I asked you something, Ms. Sarakshi Agarwal. Care to answer me now?" he said mockingly, bending closer to see her face as she looked down.

She abruptly closed her eyes and clutched her clothes tightly in fear. This felt like torture to her. Memories of past incidents with her step-family flashed through her mind, and she began to breathe heavily.

"Answer me," he said gritting his teeth

Reyansh and Rakshit were really concerned for her and they were constantly looking at her to calm her down but she didn't open her eyes even once. Tears started flowing from her eyes and it was no surprise to her as she knew that she could even cry after seeing someone else cry, so this an obvious situation for her to cry

"Lekin huwa kya hai Aashu, why are you behaving like this" Rajiv said, coming and standing beside Sarakshi and she stepped closer to him

(but what happened, Aashu)

"Ask her dad who told her to fire Pichu's nanny without my permission," Rashvik demanded, his voice cold.

"What? His nanny?" Rajiv responded, bewildered.

"Yes, Dad. Pichu's nanny told me that she said she would take care of Pichu herself now that she's married to me, so there's no need for a nanny," Rashvik explained, pointing towards Sarakshi.

"And this is how she's taking care of him, huh? Making him cry," he added harshly.

"Mumma" Pichu made grabby hands towards Sarakshi and she instantly held his hand to take him in her arms but then she stopped when Rashvik shouted

" He is crying because of you. Don't you dare touch my son"

She stepped back and wiped her tears, her hands trembling. More tears threatened to spill down her cheeks, and she struggled to steady her breathing. The weight of his accusations pressed down on her.

But she gathered a bit of courage and whispered in a broken voice holding her tears

"H-he is m-my son also. How can I-I hurt him, Mr. Singh"

"He is not your son, so shut up" He said, gritting his teeth

"How are you talking to her Aashu she has not done anything" Rajiv said, defending Sarakshi

"This is the problem dad, you trust her blindly" Rashvik said, and looked at her with a fierce gaze and then turned towards his dad

"You're angry and not ready to listen to anyone, Aashu. This conversation is getting one-sided, it's better if we talk later. But one thing is certain: you're mistaken right now," Rajiv said calmly.
