"Abigail will you mary me?" 

I covered my mouth with my hands. "Yes, yes, yes!" I said, he stood up then hugged me tightly. He kissed my cheek as I put the beautiful ring on my finger. "Its so pretty." I said admiring the diamond ring. He kissed my lips. "Im glad you like it." He smiled. I hugged him even tighter. "I love you so much." I said into his shoulder. 

Day of my graduation

The chorus was supposed to preform. The graduation took place in our local football stadium since the school was too small to hold this many people.

All the students were in the lockers room getting ready. I slashed some blush onto my cheeks. "Hey slut." I heard Jenna behind me. I looked in the mirror and saw her glowing tanned skin. "Hey." I said, turning around hugging her. "Let me see that ring." She smiled, looking at my finger. "You know, I still haven't met Shay and Austin." She said, looking at my hand. "You'll meet them today." I smiled. "Oh god, this is so pretty." She said. "Wheres Mel?" I asked. 

I havent heard from Melanie for a while, she hasn't been at school, and she doesnt even know Im engaged yet.

"I haven't seen her yet." Her smile turned into a frown. "Is she graduating?" I asked. "She made all A's the whole year." Jenna shrugged. 

I saw the light of the locker room door open from the outside. I saw Melanie. 

She had gained weight, and she had a black eye. "Mel? What happened?" I asked. It looked like she had been crying. She wasn't wearing the dress she got at the store with Jenna and I. 

"Whats wrong?" Jenna asked. She sniffled. "I need to tell you guys something." She looked extremly guilty. She pulled us aside and talked low. 

"Ever since Abby left and Max died Lux and I got extremely depressed. We started hooking up, then it became a secret relationship. We didnt want anyone to find out." 

I looked at her with serious eyes. "Melanie.." Jenna said. "I know what you're going to say!" She cried. "I love him so much." 

"He cannot raise a baby Melanie." I said. "Hes a fucking drug addict." Jenna added. "Im getting an abortion." She said into her hands. "My parents disowned me. I have been living with him for the past week, and we haven't been going to school. We were trying to work out the situation, but it didnt work. He got upset with me and hit me." I hugged her tightly. "Melanie, we are here for you. Trust me, Lux is going to regret he ever touched you." Jenna said, joining the hug. 

I wanted to find Lux, and slap him. He hit his pregnant girlfriend, and had just crossed the line. 

Just as I was about to walk out the door, out assistant principle opened the door. "Girls, put your caps on, and get in alphabetical order." 

I groaned, then got in my place.

"Please hold all applause until after."

The stage was huge. All of the students listened as the principle talked about the school year, and stuff.  

"Abigail Brooks." I walked up to the stage. They handed me my diploma, then I walked off and sat back down.

"Abby!" Jenna yelled as all the students mobbed to the locker rooms to take of their cap and gowns. I pushed through the crowd and got to her. "We need to find Lex and Mel!" She yelled over the crowd. "I found Mel!" I said pointing to the right of us. Jenna grabbed Melanie. "Where is Lux." Jenna said sternly. "I dont know." I could tell she was about to cry. "I found him." I said spotting his tall body. Jenna grabbed Melanie by the wrist, and we made our way to Lux. I grabbed Lux's wrist, then we went into the family bathroom.

"What are you doing!?" He yelled. "Are you fucking kidding me Alexander?" Jenna said crossing her arms. Melanie was curled up behind me. "What!?" He asked, taking his cap off. "You fucking hit her! Thats what!" Jenna hissed back. I heard Melanie crying softly I faced her and hugged her tightly. "Shhhh." I said rubbing her head. "I was high." He spit. "You shouldn't be touching her like that Lux." Jenna said. 

Lux raised his hand and slapped Jenna. She stood there stunned, with her hand on her cheek. 

"Dont fucking touch her!" I yelled running at him. I pushed him against the brick wall, knowing he wouldn't hurt me. I slapped him multipul times, then Jenna pulled me off of him. "Cmon." She said quietly. "Fucking cunt!" I said, spitting on him. Jenna and Melanie pushed me out the door. When we got to the locker room we were some of the last people in there. "Let me see." I said, looking at Jenna's cheek. 

It was red, but not bruised. "Here." I said getting some powder out of my bag. "Thanks." She said giing me a weak smile. I took off my gown, and so did Mel. "Wanna get lunch maybe?" I asked both of them.

"That would be nice." Melanie said. "I cant. Im spending the day with my mom." She shrugged, handing me back my powder. I hugged her. "If he touches you again, call me." I said to her. She smiled, and punched my arm. "Have fun Abb. I'll call you and we can get dinner." She smiled. Mel and I grabbed her things. "Bye Jenn." Mel said, weakly. I picked up my stuff then we walked out the door. 

I immedaitly spotted Shay. He hugged me tightly. "Shay this is Melanie." I said introducing Melanie to Shayley, finally. "Ah, you're the pretty girl with cool hair in all the pictures in Abby's room." Shay said shaking her hand. She blushed, then giggled. "Nice to meet you." He smiled. "This is Austin." I said. "Hi." He smiled down at her. "Hi." She said, looking at his features. "I like your hair." He smiled. "Thanks, I do it myself." She said nervously. "Ah really? Maybe you could do my hair sometime." He joked. "Its nice to meet you Melanie." 

She was blushing, and it was so cute. "You can call me Mel."  

"Wheres my mom?" I asked. 

"She had a confrence call." Shay said with a disaproving look. 

When my mother wasn't drinking, she was working. 

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." Shay put his arm around me, then all four of us walked to my truck.
