POV Izuku
There was a complete lounge on Katsuki's patio, and Izuku secretly wondered if the alpha had ever used it - he wasn't the visiting type, as far as the omega knew. Since Katsuki had moved here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, that probably hadn't changed.
Behind them lay the garden, which was almost the size of a park. Izuku hadn't had a chance to explore it yet. Yesterday, he had eaten with Katsuki, watched some television and then disappeared into the guest room the alpha had assigned him.
How he would love to walk through the garden now instead of sitting in this armchair in this company ...
Dr. Nakamura, the therapist arranged by the hospital, had rung the bell at 10 o'clock on the dot. Within half a day, Kacchan had not only hired a security service, but also informed Izuku's agency and therapist about the temporary change of residence.
Clearly, the alpha was serious about Izuku not returning to his apartment anytime soon.
"Don't you really have anything you want to talk to me about, Midoriya-san?"
No, he didn't.
Izuku was not against psychotherapy - on the contrary. He just wasn't ready yet. He didn't want to talk about what had happened to him. He didn't need the mental breakdown that would undoubtedly come with it.
Besides, he was uncomfortable talking in front of strangers. It was okay with Kacchan. The alpha knew that even before his abduction, Izuku had sometimes stuttered when he was nervous. He had been able to get rid of this weakness completely during his time as a pro-hero, but now it was worse than ever. A fact that made the omega terribly uncomfortable.
"You can tell me whatever is on your mind. It doesn't have to be anything from the past two years. It can be from your childhood or youth or something that happened during the last few days," Dr. Nakamura now tried.
Izuku had been ignoring the woman for four sessions. He was beginning to feel guilty. He sighed and tore his gaze away from Kacchan's floor-to-ceiling window. Instead, he wandered over the therapist to the doorway that led into the hallway.
He wondered when Kacchan would come back in.
He was just outside, discussing the final details with the head of security. As far as Izuku knew, they were only supposed to keep an eye on the perimeter and not let any uninvited visitors in. A fact he was very grateful for.
No photographers had shown up here yet. However, it could only be a matter of hours. As expected, he and Kacchan had been featured on the front pages of various gossip magazines today as the blond hero led him through the underground garage of his apartment building to his sports car. The coverage in the tabloids and on the internet was even worse. By now, he and Kacchan already had their own hashtag: #BakuDeku.
As the alpha was the only person the green-haired man had demonstrably been in contact with several times since his return, the rumor mill was churning. Of course, this was nonsense, but it didn't stop the majority of people from indulging in the wildest theories about the two of them.
"If you don't say anything, I'll feel like a fraud, Midoriya-san." Dr. Nakamura didn't let up.
Izuku raised an eyebrow questioningly.
It was enough for the therapist to start explaining: "I get my fee either way, regardless of whether you talk to me or not. The Hero Commission pays me half a fortune per hour for home visits and instead of working, I sit here drinking coffee with you."
The omega pulled up a corner of his mouth; he was susceptible to good humor. She almost tempted him to say something back. Izuku knew deep down that he should start working through his trauma, the sooner the better. Nevertheless, it was still too difficult for him at the moment. Despite everything, he didn't want to scare the therapist off completely.
