POV Katsuki

Izuku was trembling and had his eyes tightly shut. Katsuki, on the other hand, kept a close eye on the extras. If even one of them reacted inappropriately, he or she would be out the door faster than they could finish their insult.

His teammates were calm. They already knew this part of the story. Round-Face wasn't surprised either. Katsuki had told the beta shortly after Izu's rescue. The only ones for whom it was really news were Brainfucker, Four-Eyes, Frog, and Icyhot. To the blond's chagrin, all four were alphas and he wasn't sure what antiquated opinions they had about omegas, if any.

None of them said anything. Apparently, they were tongue-tied. There was a mixture of fireside on a winter's night in the air - alpha pheromones. What the? Katsuki jerked his head around. The half-half bastard was looking at Izu with a hungry gaze, his cheeks flushed. He had leaned forward in his chair and seemed hypnotized.

The blond alpha made himself taller and shielded his mate. "Mine!" Katsuki growled. His fangs lengthened menacingly. "Don't even think about it, Icyhot!"

With that, Shoto was snapped out of his trance and he sank back in his chair. The pheromones evaporated and he lowered his eyes in embarrassment. "Sorry." The murmur was barely audible.

Izuku had opened his eyes and looked at the two of them with irritation. His head was tilted. Did he really not understand what switch his confession had flipped on Icyhot? The blond huffed. Izuku had always been far too naive when it came to his best friend.

Katsuki wasn't satisfied yet. His alpha was on a rampage, wanting to mark his territory and kick out all the alphas present. He lifted their clasped hands and pulled Izuku's sleeve up a little. Fittingly, he held the hand that bore his mark. He pressed a tender kiss to the red bite mark, simultaneously presenting it to those present.

"When did that happen?" Round-Face squeeked.

"But-" Four-Eyes didn't get far.

Brainfucker looked like he was about to make a stupid comment, but they were all interrupted by Pinky's squealing. "Isn't that great? I'm so happy for them!"

"Congratulations, ribbit. Even though both revelations are surprising. I never noticed anything, ribbit."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. "I'm s-sorry I didn't tell you the truth. At the time w-when we met, I was so used to it I a-almost believed it myself in everyday life. As for Kacchan and me ... It's developed o-over the last few weeks. A few d-days ago, he asked me to court m-me and I accepted." His cheeks were glowing in a dark red.

The faces of their friends looked neutral or approving - good for them.

Katsuki grinned wryly. "Over the last few weeks ... I wouldn't say that" Izuku looked at him questioningly. "I realized I loved you almost two years ago, and according to your own words, you've had those feelings for me for much longer."

His nerd was red and the extras were speechless. Very good! "As you can hopefully imagine, our relationship status is not to be part of the press release. Until Izu is openly comfortable with the topic, I expect you to keep your mouths shut to outsiders. If anyone asks you, we're childhood friends - nothing more, nothing less."
