POV Izuku

The omega ruffled his hair and pulled at it roughly. "He knows where I am. He knows where I am. He knows where I am. He knows-"

"Izuku!"

His hands were grabbed and gently released from his hair. A pleasant smell filled the air, which the omega couldn't place at first until he spotted the golden-black eyes in front of him. Mina crouched in front of him and emitted calming pheromones that smelled like a summer meadow.

"Please calm down, Izuku. We're all with you. You're not in da-" Mina was interrupted by a deafening roar.

They jerked their heads around. Kacchan emitted wave after wave of aggressive pheromones. "What the fuck! How could you, Shitty Hair?!" With those words, he lunged at his best friend, pulling him to the ground to punch him again and again.

Izuku didn't understand what was going on. What did Kiri have to do with it? Kacchan's outburst finally snapped him out of his panic attack.

Mina stood up and walked over to the two wrestling alphas. "No sooner has one calmed down than the next one goes crazy ..."

Kiri tried to keep the blond away from him without hurting him or himself too much. "Bro, what's going on? I have no idea what you're talking about!"

"You brought this fucking box!" Katsuki roared and lashed out again.

"Wha-" Kiri turned his head to the side and dodged the blow. By now, the redhead had hardened his entire body in self-defense. "It was in front of the door. I just picked it up and gave it to you. It's not mine."

Izuku struggled to his feet. "Kacchan, s-stop ... Please..."

His true Alpha froze in mid-motion and looked to him. Whether his words, pheromones, or emotions had gotten through to him, the omega didn't know, but he was glad he had gotten through the tantrum to him. "Kiri has nothing t-to do with it. I don't know his n-name or his face or h-his quirk, but I remember what he s-smells like. It's n-not Kiri. Please, stop it."

"Fuck!" The tension left the blond's body and he slumped in on himself.

The redhead loosened his hardening and let go of his best friend, who was still sitting astride him.

"Has everyone calmed down?" asked Mina. "Can we please talk about what's going on now? I'd like to help, but I have no idea how. What's this box all about?"

Kiri cleared his throat. "It was outside the door. I swear to you, Kat. I just wondered why there was a present and picked it up. Since it was addressed to My Omega, I thought maybe it was from you and you forgot it there."

"Obviously that shit isn't from me!" growled Katsuki.

"Now I know," Eijiro replied contritely.

Mina stood between the three men with her arms crossed. "This raises the following questions: What is it anyway that has upset Izu darling so much? Who is it from? And how did it get outside Kat's door if we can assume security didn't let anyone but us onto the property?"

Izuku let out a rattling breath. "I can a-answer the first t-two questions."

The pink heroine turned to him. "That's right, you were talking about a he, and that it's not Eiji. Who is he?"

He looked to Kacchan with a pleading look. Part of him knew it was nonsense, but he felt guilty and insincere towards his partner at the moment.

The blond alpha seemed to sense this. It took him a visible effort to gather himself before he said calmly, "Whatever it is, Izu, you can say it. I would never blame you for anything you had to do to survive this shit. To answer your first question, Pinky: Those are manacles that suppress the wearer's quirk, thus depriving them of the ability to use their own. Those scumbags made Izu wear this exact model most of the time so that he could put up as little resistance as possible."

The omega took a deep breath and mentally prepared himself to answer the second question, but Mina spoke up first: "That means the sender of the box knows about Izuku's imprisonment and presumably what happened to him there."

The greenette could not suppress a soft whimper. Their mutual friend came to him again, settling down beside him and pulling Izuku into a side hug. Kacchan joined them and sat down on the other side of the omega, where he intertwined their hands.

Kiri sat down on one of the chairs around the dining table, keeping a little distance. Whether he wanted to give him some space or was afraid of provoking Katsuki should he come closer, Izuku couldn't tell.

The former hero cleared his throat. "Most of the a-alphas who paid for me had only one thing i-in mind: to hurt me or humiliate m-me and in the process... to get relief as soon as I c-could no longer defend myself. Actually, that w-was the case with all but one of them."

Izuku closed his eyes and fought against the images of his memories, not wanting to have to relive it, not wanting to hear his voice whispering in his ear. "I never knew his n-name - he only ever called h-himself alpha and called me omega. E-every time he wore a half-mask over his eyes. That's why I don't r-recognize his face. Unlike o-others, he never used his quirk, so I don't recognize that either. He w-was downright o-obsessed with me, came as often as he c-could and told me every t-time he was a big fan ... said h-he loved me."

Izuku fought back the tears that were choking his throat. Kacchan stroked the back of his hand tenderly with his thumb and emitted soothing pheromones. The omega took a rattling breath and continued, "He t-talked about making me h-his mate, about looking for w-ways to free me. He talked a-about how he i-imagined our life, a-and how I should have his ... k-kids."

Katsuki growled softly. To outsiders it was probably threatening, but to Izuku it was reassuring. His true alpha was with him and would help him protect himself this time. The omega was no longer helpless and had his quirk back. Still, at that moment it just felt good to be able to let go.

He closed his eyes and rested his head on Kacchan's shoulder. After the excitement of the day, Izuku was exhausted. There was nothing he would rather do right now than snuggle up in bed with his alpha and simply shut out the rest of the world. Forget for a night how tonight had ended ...

Obviously, the blond had other plans. Izuku noticed his mate rummaging in his trouser pocket with his free hand and heard his voice shortly afterwards. Reluctantly, the omega opened one eye and saw Katsuki who had picked up his smartphone and was talking on the phone.

"I need the footage from the front door. Sometime during the day, a gift box appeared there before our visitors arrived. Search this moment and save it for evidence." Katsuki fell silent for a bit and paused. "No, I'll call my contact at the police station myself. Yes, thank you, see you later."

"The police? Who are you going to call?" Mina asked in surprise.

Kacchan looked at her as if he seriously doubted her intelligence. "A deranged stalker is after Izu, who has somehow managed to bypass my security service. Of course I'll contact the police. If only to secure evidence and hopefully make an arrest soon. Not only because these are clearly criminal offenses, but to eliminate the danger to my mate as quickly as possible."

His alpha was right ... Heroes worked with law enforcement almost all the time. They were not allowed to make arrests without the presence of police officers. If they foiled a crime, they had to wait until the police arrived to arrest the villain or petty criminal, if they weren't already on the scene anyway. Calling the police was the right thing to do. Still, the omega didn't feel comfortable telling his story again and letting outsiders in on the shadows of his past.

Katsuki typed on his cell phone and held it to his ear again. "Tsukauchi, I need you at my house. So far, trespassing and stalking ... no, I can't name the suspect, just give a rough description. Do me a favor and handle the matter as discreetly as possible. Yes, Sansa is okay. And bring someone from forensics with you to secure the evidence. I don't want any more of you in my house right now. No, it's not about me ... It's about Izuku."
