Music drowned away her worries as Valley adjusted the tie. Toby rolled his eyes and redid the mess she called a tie. Shamefully Valley had to admit to him she had a non tieable tie thing for her school uniform, and that she can barely tie shoes. To make it worse, Toby had rolled his eyes that he had noticed. But that was a few hours ago. Now they were in the main hall where people handed out drinks.

"Is there alcohol?" Valley asked Toby who frowned.

"Actually, I... I don't know." Toby looked around and then chuckled, "I don't think anyone cares, so it's up to you what you do and don't drink. Just don't be hung over tomorrow."

Valley nodded excitedly and ran off. Not to drink, no, but to find Charley and his friend.
When she did she raised her eyebrows.

"Wow, I'm gone for two seconds!"
The two 'frineds' stepped away from each other, Charley guiltily hiding his face as Anthony cleared his throat and glared at Valley.
"When did this happen?" Valley asked excitedly. It was like a story where two side characters she shipped finally got together. She loved it.

As Anthony opened his mouth to explain how she caused it, Valley couldn't help but to smile. It was as though Valley had known from the start.

"Hey, you gonna get some drinks?" Valley asked Charley, and he nodded, probably glad to step away for a second. He looked anxious about this.

As he walked off, Anthony opened his mouth to speak but Valley was first.
"If you hurt him in any way," Valley said, not hiding her intentions as she glared, "I'll have more than your just head, displayed on a stake, got that?"

Anthony raised an eyebrow. "Last time I checked you were the goody two shoes." (How do you write that??)

Valley chuckled darkly, "That was a month ago, want to test what changed?"

With a shake of his head, Anthony sighed a bit. He leaned back against the wall and looked miserable for a moment.
"Everyone has changed."

As Valley fiddled with the sleeves of the suit, she nodded. It wad comfortable, the suit, not the silence that fell over the two. The silence was awkward.

"I got them," Charley said, handing the two some drinks. As he handed over Valley's, a phial slipped into here hands sneakily. Valley smiled as she put it away in her pocket unnoticed.
"So, when will we—"

"Not now." Valley chuckled as if he was talking about something silly. "We'll just have to wait until a bit later."

"Be careful where you put your cup," Anthony told Charley when he was about to put it down, "You don't know how easy it is for your drink to get spiked."

A smile fell over Valley, though she tried to cover it up with a sip from her cup. How easy this was.

The loud music mixed with the bright lights as Valley moved through the crowd. It surprised her how much this reminded her off that one party she went to. It had been her first and last, she didn't like crowds, but the scene looked quite like it. People were dancing in the middle near some dj who looked creepy of course. There were people playing drinking games, there were people standing and sitting in circles, chatting, playing games and having fun.
As Valley passed someone with a tight dress who almost tripped over it's long skirt, she was more than glad she was wearing a suit tonight. She hated tight clothes, and she loved free movement because... everything. The past month had taught her too much.

"Hey, Valley!" Toby said cheerfully. Valley paused her dark trail of thought and grinned back. Her smile didn't fall when she found Toby's joy not reaching his eyes.
"Let's go to the hallway, I can barely hear myself here."
