"There you are." Valley sighed in relief when she found Charley in class. He looked at her in surprise and she had explained about trying to find him. He gave her a kind smile. Valley was one of a kind, always looking out for others.
Anthony had been like that, but he was dead.

Charley wondered how he should ask Valley to get into trouble with him. To possibly lose his life with her.
She would say no, but still Charley wanted to ask. He had to.
After class ended completely that day, Charley turned to Valley.

"We should do something as friends," Charley said as he looked away, "Something to do with a door?"

Valley frowned before she realised. Then she frowned again before she sighed.
"We would end up dead."

Charley nodded.
"I don't know about wanting to live, I might as well... figure out a big lead of why we are 'here' anyway."

Here, the castle, on the grounds where they learned not only to fight, but to kill.

As Valley fiddled with the strap of her bag, she thought.

"You don't have to, of course—"

"No, it's not about that," Valley smiled, "It's just..." her smile dropped. "I'm not sure I want to lose my life."

Charley nodded, accepting the bitter truth. It was for the best, maybe Valley would end up living, having a good life, somehow.

But then Valley surprisingly grabbed his hand.
Her face was serious as she said, "We both know that's irrelevant, cause I'll die sooner or later anyway, we all know we will." A smile then jumped on her face, "And dying together, it's what friends are for, right?"

Charley couldn't help but to smile.
"I'm so lucky to have you."

In a surprise hug, Vally said, "I'm lucky to have you to." They didn't notice someone listening in.

"Ready?" Charley said. Valley nodded with a smile. Mischief, it had been so long since the two had been up to something, and it was exciting.
They walked into the library and immediately went for the handle, opening the door.
Valley had her phone at the ready, but they knew how to move around the dark room and didn't need it. The two held each other's hands as they chatted a bit, simply having fun as two friends.

They knew this would kill them, but they smiled as though they wouldn't die after, or while they did this.
Reaching the tall bright room, Valley looked around at the books.

Charley smiled at her getting distracted, he remembered last time they were here, he had been the one to get distracted. Valley grabbed a book and hurried up to Charley. "Just in case," she said.

Together they opened the portal, using the handle. They both grabbed knives, nodding at each other before they stepped into the portal.

The world went quiet.

As the world spun around them, Valley clutched Charley's hand. She found the bright lights entering her vision before they slowly started to make sense. Charley looked around already, amazed at the new room they stood in. Valley as well looked around now that she could. The room was low, though filled with books as well.

Charley and Valley glanced at each other when they heard a door open and close rather far off. Someone was there.

Hiding behind one of the book cases, Charley noticed how the stone looked like the castles' but it wasn't quite the same. Footsteps sounded and when the two saw light coming from the portal, they realised the person was gone.

They glanced at each other, then they grinned.
Time to see where they were.

Together they hurried out of the room, finding a broad and luxurious hallway outside. It was way different from the simple but neat style the castle had. It was luxurious as in gold and everything expensive. The two looked in amazement before they hurried to hide as two people, looking like guards walked past.
