Thomas's POV

Wolf. She's as fast as lightening. Beautiful. Is extremely smart. And she has these amazing clear blue eyes that I just can't resist. Her wolf power is so cool. She has the ability to turn into a wolf and back into a human.

One day I was walking to the slicers to drop something off there when I saw Wolf run to me. She was in human form but she still ran really fast.

But I don't want her in that maze, she could get hurt. And if she did I would go out of my mind. So I was so relieved when Alby said 'no' to being a runner.

"Hey Wolf." I said now grinning like an idiot. "Hey Thomas. Can I talk to you?" She asked, looking left and then right. "Um, yeah sure I just need to-" I paused. "Wait, how urgent is this?" I asked.

"No, no it can wait." She replied. "Wait here, I'll be right back. I promise." I turned around and ran to the slicers. "Thanks..." Said Winston as I threw the parcel at him. I couldn't help it. I had to know what Wolf wanted to talk about.

When I could see her in the distance, I heard crying. Oh god, what now, I thought. Huddled by a tree was chuck. He had his head in his hands. "Chuck? Chuck? What happened man?" I asked him.

"Some of the gladers are being mean to me." He said, forcing back tears. Just the thought of Chuck being picked on made me mad. Chuck is like a brother to me and I feel the need to protect him.

"Who?" I asked, wanting to get this sorted out as soon as possible. Chuck told me of the bullies and I reported them to Alby and Newt. Chuck calmed down and I told him that I would meet him outside the homestead after I talked to Wolf.

But when I got to the spot I where left her she was gone... I thought about how long it had taken me to find Alby and Newt. Uh oh, I thought.

And so began my search for her. I checked literally everywhere; in the homestead; the med jack hut; the deadheads. I explained the situation to Chuck and he joined the search.

I searched everywhere. Well, everywhere except... the maze. The thought of her in there mad me shiver with fear. I started panicking. Chuck tried to reassure me but I was so worried I thought I might throw up.

Chuck then tapped me in the back. I turned around to see a beautiful wolf emerging from the deadheads. I ran over to Wolf, crying as I went. She did her amazing trick and turned back to human. I wrapped my arms around her so tight she had to say, "Thomas! I need air!"

"Oh god, I'm so sorry. Are you hurt? Did I hurt you?" I choked out. "No. I'm okay Thomas." I was over joyed to hear that. "Where did you go?" I asked. " I went to fetch something from the deadheads. But I couldn't find it and Minho said it was important. So yeah, I was freaking out." She said.

Like I was when I couldn't find you, I thought. "And where were you?" She said, crossing her arms, a bit like in the sassy way Minho does. "Helping Chuck. I'm so sorry it took me so long. It was just one thing after another." I explained.

"So are you listening?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Cus I still haven't told you what I need to tell you."

Oh yeah, I thought. I was in such a state looking for Wolf I forgot that she wanted to tell me something.

I nodded, my muscles tense.

"I think you're cute." She said in a whisper.

I couldn't say anything. I opened my mouth but no words came out.

"I have for a while now and I woke up today like, 'I have to tell him how I feel, I can't hold it in much longer. "She added.

I wanted to kiss her so I asked her, "Can I kiss you?" She replied, "Oh, silly Thomas, you don't need to ask."

When we kissed, the world suddenly felt like perfect. Nothing could separate me from Wolf...
