Y/N's POV

"Come on Y/N, let's go!" My friend shouted to me from downstairs. "Okay I'm nearly done!" I shouted back as I quickly brushed my hair. We were going to the get some coffee from Starbucks and then go to the huge library just around the corner from there. We needed some new books.

My friend didn't particularly share the same taste in books as me though. I was into the whole soppy romance genre and she would often read factual stuff about animals.

I ran down the stairs to my friend who was getting annoyed. "God Y/N how long does it take you to get ready?" She asked. I shrugged. "I may have fell asleep half way through getting dressed." I admitted. But my friend just laughed. "Yeah I'm kinda sleepy in the mornings." I laughed as we stepped out the door. "Never." She joked.

We walked down to Starbucks, debating about who would pay this time until we ended up agreeing to just pay separately. Starbucks was quite busy as it was mid winter and cold and rainy outside. It was nice and warm inside.

I ordered a vanilla hot chocolate, paid and sat down before anyone else could claim the seats. My friend sat down next to me, warming her hands up on the hot drink.

Just then a guy passed us. Quite tall, with blonde hair hair that flopped over his forehead. His brown eyes looked so innocent. He was actually more angel than human. Just then my friend started talking about a totally different guy a few seats away.

"Oh yeah, he's cute." I lied. "Do you think I should get his number?" My friend giggled. "Yeah, go get him." I laughed, as she stood up and started talking to that guy she perceived as 'hot'.

I sipped my hot chocolate my only thoughts on that beautiful, fluffy blonde haired boy. And I'd never see him again.

A few minutes later she came back waving a small slip of paper around. "Look what I got." She laughed. "Well done." I smiled. She put the number into her phone right then and named the contact, 'hot guy'. I rolled my eyes and sipped my hot chocolate.

When we had both finished, we walked the short distance to library. "Home sweet home." I said, as we walked in. The library was my second home. Reading is my life.

I immediately dived into a new book, getting a little too excited over it. I heard someone chuckle and I looked up to see that beautiful guy I saw earlier. I couldn't believe he was here. And he was sat right across from me.

"Hi, I'm Newt." He said shuffling over to me and holding out his hand. "Y/N." I said as I shook it. "I couldn't help but notice that you're reading the same book as me. And that you have quite a beautiful face." He said.

I blushed, smiled and found I couldn't stop. "Thanks." I said in a whisper. "Are you enjoying the book?" I asked. Newt nodded, "It's really interesting, but at first I thought it was kinda boring. Give it some time and you'll love it." He said and winked at me.

"Will do." I laughed. "So do you come here often?" He asked. "It's practically my home. I love reading." I said. "Same here." He said, "I thought I'd try this library as I had read nearly everything in my old one." Newt said. "Oh my god ha. Thankfully this library has a lot of books for me to get through." I said.

"I'm so glad." He said, finding my hand and holding it.

We sat there reading and talking for a good half an hour until he said, "Hey I have to go now but do you know when you'll be here next?"

"Probably tomorrow at around 5pm." I giggled. "Okay cool, see you then." He smiled, leaving. "Bye!" I waved. "Bye!" He laughed. After a moment I noticed a tiny note left on the table we were next to. I slowly picked it up and read it. 'Hi Y/N, this is my number so give me a call if you wanna some time xx ~ Newt'

He must have written it and put it there when we were reading. I grabbed my phone immediately and put his number in. I was so tempted to put him in as 'Newtie' for the contact name but for now I'm just gonna put 'Newt'.

I wandered over to my friend who had a grim look on her face. "Oh thank god you're done I was getting so bored of this place. You might have to come here alone tomorrow, sorry." She said. 'It's okay." I shrugged.

Because I have Newt to be with now.
