Tracy's POV

I'm the new greenie training to be a runner. I didn't realise it took up so much energy. So by the end of each day when I got back from training I would just collapse on my bed.

I was determined though. And everyone told me that I'm good at running so my confidence is pretty strong.

The keeper of the runners is a bit heartless. Is called Minho.

He doesn't give me any praise when I do something right. Glares at me. He is mean. But I ignore him. Ben trains me to be a runner anyway.

I woke up early and when I had eaten breakfast and was walking to my runner training with Ben, Newt walked up to me. "Tracy got some news!" He said.

"Good or bad?" I laughed.

"Well would you like to go and explore the maze today?" He asked me.

I gasped. "Really? Oh thanks so much Newt." I said, excitedly, giving him a big hug.

"Don't thank me, Minho hurt his ankle running yesterday and is in the med-jack hut so we could use a runner to check out his section. Speaking of Minho he said he wanted to see you. "Newt stated.

He wants to see me? I thought. Why on Earth would he want to see me?

"Tracy." Newt snapped his fingers in front of me. "What?" I asked. Newt chuckled, "You went into a trance when I mentioned Minho's name."

"Did I?" I said, acting dumb. "Yeah." Newt laughed. "Anyway see ya later Tracy!" He said, walking away.

I trained for about an hour, Minho the only thing on my mind. Ben had me run and jump over hurdles that were made by the builders. I jumped over all of them but the last. I sort of crashed into it. I was fine though.

"What's wrong Tracy? Something on your mind? Or someone?" Ben said.

"No. Why would any of these shuck-faces be on my mind ew." I said, crossing my arms.

"Wow." Was all Ben said. "Wow what?" I asked.

"It's just you acted a lot Minho just then." He explained. I ignored his comment and told him I had to go.Minho was in the med-jack hut. Jeff lead me to his room, knocked for me and then left.

"Come in." Said Minho. I opened the door cautiously. Minho was in bed, bundled up in blankets. "You wanted to see me?" I asked, feeling a little intimidated.

"Yeah. I heard Newt say this morning that you wanted to go in the maze." He said.

I simply said, "So?"

"I don't want you going into the maze. It's dangerous." He said, his voice surprisingly full of concern.

"Wow. Never. I thought it was full of fairies and rainbows." I said, a little too sarcastically. "Whatever I don't care what you say, I'm going in." I added.

Minho sat up. His behaviour changed suddenly. "Just don't go. I like you and I-I can't loose you, Tracy." Minho blurted out.

I sat down on the bed. "Minho... I won't get hurt out there. I promise." I said, holding his hand.

He looked stunned. "Okay but I will run with you. Everyday. Once I'm better. And will you be my girlfriend?" He said, looking a bit red at that last part.

I was stunned then.

"Of course." I said, kissing him on the cheek.

I lay down with Minho on the bed, thinking of our future together as a couple...
