Newt Imagine #4 (request)

Newt's POV

It was amazing. I couldn't believe that the new greenie was a girl. And that her name was Kiann. It's pretty, I thought as I walked towards the homestead to sort out a room for her.

I didn't actually have a lot to do today which was unusual for me. It was a nice day in the glade. The lush green trees danced in the wind and I thought it was beautiful.

As I walked around I saw a glimpse of the new greenie. Huh, I thought. I was immediately interested.

I ended up doing a few things for some keepers but it wasn't much. By then it was lunch. I saw Kiann out of the corner of my eye.

But I didn't stare- I was scared of what the other gladers would say. I mean they would probably point and laugh. I'm second in command, I have to set a good example.

Kiann was getting her food when I decided to talk to her. I walked over to her. "Um, hi, I'm Newt and I was just wondering if you wanted me to you know, show you around at all?" I said a little uneasily. I was embarrassed by my awkwardness.

Kiann then said, "Yeah that would be great because Alby said he had some business to deal with involving a runner or something."

"Okay, here you can eat with me." I said, pulling her down to sit on the grass with me.

We had a great conversation. She is so funny and has the most beautiful eyes. And doesn't make up rubbish jokes like Minho to be funny.

After lunch I introduced her to all the keepers. She seemed fine with all of them. Apart from Gally. She made fun of his eyebrows. I told her to keep it down but we were both hysterically giggling.

I introduced her to Minho last because he was running during the day. When they were introduced and we were walking away, Minho said, "You guys are cute together." He said this with a wink. I blushed and couldn't stop thinking about what he said.

After I had showed her the entire glade we sat down on the grass. The sky was beautiful pink/orange colour.

Kiann turned to me and said,"I heard what Minho said. And, well, I agree."

I was amazed. "So do I." I said.

"Oh come on! Just kiss already!" This came from Minho.

We did. And it was amazing.
