Doing the Right Thing

After quietly quitting Cobra Kai, Annabelle "Annie" Johnson joined Miyagi-Do. When Hawk came to the Cobra Kai dojo, he was puzzled when he saw she wasn't there. He went looking for her, only to be shocked and broken-hearted when he saw her training with the Miyagi-Do students.

The next day at school, he asked her why she wasn't in Cobra Kai anymore, and she told him it was basically her way of getting even with the Cobras for what they forced him to do to Demetri (namely, pressuring him into breaking Demetri's arm. "Sorry, but I'm your enemy now, too, Hawk. Goodbye," she added before turning on her heel and walking away.

However, Hawk noticed he wasn't the only one stunned by her words; Tory and the other Cobras were shocked as well, while also wondering why Annie's leaving them and Cobra Kai for Miyagi-Do was her way of getting back at them over pressuring Hawk into breaking Demetri's arm (which he never wanted to do in the first place, as he really wanted to break something else that day in the abandoned laser tag room at Golf N' Stuff).

Finally, after he pulled his Heel-Face Turn during the fight at Casa de LaRusso by rescuing Demetri from getting his arm re-broken, reconciling with Demetri, and then taking down the other Cobras alongside Demetri, Hawk realized Annie did the right thing in joining Miyagi-Do; he found her and apologized.

"You were right to leave Cobra Kai for Miyagi-Do and enter a healthier mindset. I'm sorry for giving into the Cobras when they pressured me into breaking Demetri's arm. They're the ones to blame for that, and I felt so bad as soon as I did it. What I really wanted to do, however, was to break something else that day, and they wouldn't even let me do that.

"When I recall that now," Hawk admitted, "I remember feeling sick to my stomach and wanting so badly to stay behind and apologize to Demetri, as well as leave Cobra Kai right then and there."

Hawk became surprisingly sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Also, I now realize I shouldn't have listened to Kreese in the first place either. Sensei Lawrence was right; Kreese doesn't really care about me. He only cares about starting a war just for his own sadistic pleasures." Besides that, I also realized Kreese could easily turn on me too.

The air in the Miyagi-Do dojo of the LaRusso residence crackled with the aftermath of violence. Sam LaRusso and Tory Nichols stood shoulder to shoulder, chests heaving, facing down a burly Cobra Kai student — his gi ripped, knuckles bruised, and face contorted in a mask of frustrated rage. Judging by the smug satisfaction radiating from Tory and the weary but resolute set of Sam's jaw, he'd clearly lost and lost badly.

The dojo backdoor swung inward, revealing Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz, his red Mohawk a vibrant beacon against the chaos. He was followed by Demetri Alexopoulos, his dark hair a stark contrast to Hawk's flamboyance, and Miguel Diaz, his usually bright eyes narrowed, assessing the scene. Their arrival was a silent question hanging in the air. They'd been fighting their own battles, scattered across the expansive LaRusso property, but the sounds of this particular clash had drawn them in.

Hawk, never one for subtlety, stepped forward, his azure eyes locking onto the Cobra Kai student. "Dude, stop. The fight's over." His voice, usually laced with an edge of bravado, was surprisingly level, almost... weary. The sheer exhaustion of conflict seemed to seep from him.

The Cobra Kai student, panting and glowering, didn't back down. Anger, the raw, festering kind, flared in his eyes. "It's not over," he spat, the words thick with venom. He turned his gaze towards Tory and Sam, each syllable laced with threat. "This will never be over, Nichols, LaRusso. You hear me?"

Tory, never one to be intimidated, met his glare head-on, a dangerous smirk playing on her lips. "You know where to find us." Her voice was low, confident, a challenge echoing in the strained air.
