As the Miyagi-Fangs and the now former Cobras, including Kyler Park and Kenny Payne, looked on, Abigail Marie "Abby" Lioncourt gave Mitch her well-known icy-cold glare, which had become one of her trademarks over time. Even Kyler and Tory Nichols recalled all those times when they'd been on the receiving end of Abby's glare on a few occasions, too.
Even Piper Elswith (who'd been at gymnastics camp for the summer when her fellow Cobras had been at the Splasharama Water Adventure park) vowed she'd also quit Cobra Kai herself. She'd heard of Silver's telling Tory about bribing the referee for the match between Tory and Sam in order to ensure Cobra Kai won the All-Valley Tournament (which Silver called an "insurance policy" of sorts), and had also heard of Silver's bribing the referee for the Sekai Taikai tryouts, with the latter being the reason why Kenny hadn't gotten disqualified over using the "Silver Bullet" move on Hawk in their match.
(After seeing the video of Silver's telling Tory about his bribing the All-Valley referee and then watching while Daniel fought Silver and won as a result, Kenny, Kyler, Mitch and the other Cobras then took off and tossed their Cobra Kai sweatshirts and hoodies at a beaten and bruised Silver as they left the dojo for good in a mass exodus, so the Miyagi-Fangs' plan of exposing Silver as a liar and a cheat had succeeded in the end.)
Also, Piper mentally noted she'd find Sam and Tory, and apologize to Sam for telling her she had nothing without defense at the All-Valley Tournament, as well as tell them she'd found out what happened before admitting to Tory about how she and Robby were right about what kind of person Silver really was.
"Mitch," Abby said right then, "if I'm not mistaken, and in this case I'm not, contrary to what you said had happened, you were thrown out of Cobra Kai. You didn't leave of your own free will like I heard Chris did.
"By the way, I asked Chris about that. He admitted he never liked it at the Cobra Kai dojo, and then explained why: the ruthlessness of Cobra Kai and its 'no mercy' philosophy was basically too much for him after the Yelp review incident at the mall.
"And when Chris heard about the Miyagi-Do dojo having been trashed and Mr. Miyagi's Medal of Honor stolen (with the latter two being what Mr. LaRusso informed Mr. Lawrence about, and had been mostly done by Hawk), he'd had it with Cobra Kai and showed it when he walked out of the Cobra Kai dojo, while also followed by Nate, Frank, Abe and Little Red, along with half the other Cobra Kai students."
Turning to Chris, Abigail gave him a thumbs up and a smile, both of which he gladly returned. Chris was pleased that she remembered; to him, it was as though it was only yesterday he'd left Cobra Kai for Miyagi-Do because of those exact reasons, while showing he had a strong dislike for bullying in the process.
Turning her gaze back to Mitch, she added, "There's a big difference between freely leaving a karate dojo and being thrown out."
"I did leave," Mitch argued. "Really, I did!"
Her blue eyes flashing, Abby stood her ground. "Oh, Gott im Himmel. You didn't, and I know it. You got beaten by then new recruit Kyler in a sparring match, and then forced to leave Cobra Kai as a result."
Mitch's mind went back to that fateful day in the Cobra Kai Dojo as he realized how right she was. "Oh, yeah."
Abby nodded. "And, as I also recall correctly, the next day you walked over to the Cobra Kai lunch table where Hawk was sitting, only to be spurned and sent over to the rejects table, where Bert and another former Cobra Kai student were sitting."
Hearing this, Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz and Bert exchanged glances as Hawk placed an arm around Bert's shoulders, like the older brother or cousin that Bert sometimes wished he was.
"I'm so sorry about that, Bert," Hawk admitted. "You didn't deserve to be at the rejects table in the first place. You were just being you with your love for animals, as I could too readily testify when I saw how sweet you were to Clarence, the hamster."
Bert looked up at Hawk and gave him a smile. "It's all right, Hawk. I sensed you were beginning to have a moral dilemma of sorts."
Seeing the truth in Bert's words, Hawk let a thoughtful expression cross his face as he realized Bert was right on point. "I agree. Deep down, I'd slowly and secretly begun to realize Kreese's methods were basically wrong and didn't exactly sit as well with me as I'd initially thought." He then smiled shamefacedly. "I admire your honesty, Bert. That's a noble quality, and I hope you never lose that."
Bert nodded. "Me too, Hawk — me too."
"But," Hawk began, "I also wish I'd gotten up the courage to raise my hand in objection over Kreese feeding Clarence to the snake. I would've chosen to follow you out of the Cobra Kai dojo, even if it meant I was getting kicked out like you were.
"And I also want to apologize for throwing you through the window of the LaRusso house, too," Hawk added then. "I don't know what I was thinking."
Reaching up with his free hand, Bert placed it on the hand belonging to Hawk, which was on his shoulder. "Hey, it's all right, Eli. To be honest, the fault is mine; I thought I'd heard a cat meowing around outside, and went to check it out."
