Oden's POV
I look at the guards while they whisper about something, and I know that I could easily hear what they're talking about if I concentrated, but I don't care enough to do that.
I decide to look at the wolf, who's sleeping on the ground a few cellars away from me.
I wonder what they will do with him and the other wolf, but I really doubt that they will let a rogue just walk away, because they will most likely be a threat to the pack.
If they weren't wild, then in most packs thay would be questioned about the reason why they were in the pack lands, but I'm not sure how it works in this pack.
Not much later, the angry guard comes toward me, and the takes makes me move from the blanket.
Then he takes it away, and he follows the other guard out of the cellar, before he locks the door.
I sigh in frustration, before I decide to look at the droplets that are sliding down the wall that's next to me.
I count them for a very long while, and a while before I reach thousand, I can hear that the guards are talking again.
To be honest, they're mostly quiet, and I think that it's what Denver expects from them.
Because the other guards keep sending them disapproving looks, which thankfully is enough to make them stop talking most of the time.
"Do you think that they will let this one live?" A guard asks quietly, and I already know that they're talking about me.
I try to stop listening, but it's hard when I don't have any other sound to listen to.
"I'm not sure, they would have most likely killed him by now for what he did, but he's now kind of a part for the Alpha's family, so I guess that they will settle with a harsh punishment." The other guard says.
"Kind of?" The first guard asks.
"Yeah, I don't think that they mated, so I guess that it would be possible to somehow kill him without killing the Alpha's nephew." His friend responds.
"Can you be quiet?" I ask them with an annoyed tone, and I don't even have to look at them to know that they're glaring at me.
"Stay quiet, or I will hit you again." The guards that I annoyed earlier tells me.
I laugh slightly, and I turn my head to look at him.
"I will tell Denver about the fact that you hit me, and I'm sure that he won't be very happy about it." I tell him, and he rolls his eyes.
"And you think that he will believe you? I'm sure that you're already healed, so you won't have any evidence." He tells me with an unimpressed expression.
"I might be a werewolf, but that doesn't mean that I have the ability to heal quickly." I tell him, and his eyes widen slightly when he realises that he might be in trouble with Denver soon.
But then he gets angry again, and he opens my cellar, before he lifts my shirt to see if my wounds have healed.
They healed a long time ago, so I don't even have a bruise at this moment, and I already knew that, but I just wanted to annoy him.
He looks at my chest, and when he realises that it's healed, then he starts to hit me repetitively.
