Trevor's POV

I walk out of the front door, holding a kid in each arm, and when I lock the door, I look around the woods, trying to decide in which direction I should go.

The kids asked me to go for a walk, which isn't anything new, because we do it almost every day, as long as they're not sick.

"Go there." The elder kid tells me, and he points in the direction of the training grounds, where most of the people hang out when they're free.

"They're having a pack training right now, so we can't go there." I tell him and he groans, before he points in the direction of another clearing.

I decide that it will be safe enough to go there, because it's close to the training grounds, so if we would need help, them it will be easy to get it.

And that's pretty important for me, because I'm babysitting three kids, and one of them will be the future Alpha, so I will have to make sure to keep him safe.

We walk for a while, but not much later, I have to stop, because I can hear that someone's running towards me.

I start to panic, because I have a feeling that this person doesn't have any good intentions, so I quickly put the kids down.

Then I tell them to stay here, before I shift into my wolf form, and I run at the person that's tuning towards me, because I didn't want them to get close to the kids.

If I was alone, then I would have run towards the smell of the closest guard, but since I'm with the kids, I wouldn't be able to shift and carry all of them, which would most likely let this person catch me.

Before I reach this person, I realise that they smell very good, and my werewolf instincts start to go crazy, so I assume that I just found my mate.

A brown wolf runs towards me, but he does seem to realise that I'm on his path, at least before it's a bit too late.

He runs into me, and the both of us drop to the ground.

I wince slightly, and he does the same, before he stands up and he growls at me.

"I'm your mate." I tell him, and he sniffs the air, before he sneezes.

I chuckle slightly, because it seems that he's allergic to me and he just growls again, most likely not liking the fact that I'm laughing at him.

I watch as he shifts back to his human form, and I really can't believe that I'm lucky enough to have a mate who's this attractive.

I already knew that he will be a man, because all of my family members have a male mate or mates, so it's not a surprise to me, but it seems to be for him.

"You're a man." He tells me, and the expression that he's making tells me that he's not very happy about that.

"And I'm babysitting three kids, who are currently sitting alone in the middle of the woods, because I left them when I thought that you wanted to attack us.

So, I really have to go back to them." I tell him and I stand up, before I gesture for him to follow me.
