Oden's POV
Trevor and I were about to go downstairs for breakfast, but before we walked out of the bedroom, we overheard Tyler and Daniel's conversation.
They were talking about the fact that there will be a family night in a few hours, and they asked the guards if we will be able to go there to which they agreed.
As soon as Trevor heard that, he started to pack a bag of clothes, and a few other things that he took to his room over the last few days that we were here.
When he has everything in two small bags, then he puts them back into his dresser and he makes sure to cover them with a few clothes, before he looks at me.
I'm still frowning at him, because I have no idea what he's doing, and he seems to release that, because he starts to explain.
"We will have to run away from here for a while, until we will find out what's going on with all of this killing.
And it will be the best time to do that, because there will be a lot of people at my grandparents' house." He tells me quietly, making sure that no one will hear us.
I nod slightly, and I listen to him as he explains his plan, which is quite easy, although there's a lot that can go wrong with it.
A while later, Trevor decides that he will sneak out of the window, so he can hide the bags somewhere in the woods.
He opens the window at the same time that I open the door to the bathroom, hoping that it will be enough for the guards to not hear that we opened the window.
And then I watch as he goes out of the window, before he disappears in the woods.
I could have gone with him, and we could have sneaked out now, but I knew that our scent would start to disapear quickly.
And if the guards wouldn't hear any movement upstairs, then they would most likely come here to see if we're still here.
So, they will have to be distracted, if we want to have a chance to run away,.
Because we will have to put enough distance between us, before we will be able to lose them and find a place to stay.
I wait for a few minutes, and not much later, I can hear that someone's coming up the stairs, which makes my eyes widen.
Not much later, I realise that it's one of the guards, so I look at the woods, hoping that Trevor will come back soon.
But he doesn't and the guard is coming closer, so I take the shirt that Trevor was wearing yesterday.
I go toward the bathroom, hoping the the smell on the shirt will be enough to make the guard think that Trevor went to the bathroom.
I quickly turn the shower on, before I walk out of the bathroom, and I close the door, before I sit on the bed.
