Oden's POV
I hear a knock on the door, so I open it and I frown when I see Denver, although I let him come inside of the bedroom anyway.
It's not like I would have a chance to stop him from doing it, and by his expression I can tell that he has something important to say.
"What's wrong?" Trevor asks him, while he stands up from the bed so he can stand next to me.
"I just wanted to tell you that Oden will get this punishment tomorrow, in the early evening." Denver tells us.
"Alright." Trevor says reluctantly.
"And I was supposed to take him to the cellars, so he won't be able to run away.
But I decided that it will be better if I will give you a few more guards, so he can stay here.
Also, he should clean up before the punishment, because I will be cutting his skin multiple times.
And I don't want him of get an infection or something after that." Denver says, and we just stare at him with a blank expression.
"Any questions?" He asks us, but neither of us says anything, which actually makes him chuckle a bit.
"You look stupid." He tells us, but when we keep looking at him with a blank expression, then he sighs in annoyance and he decides to leave the room.
Trevor and I look at each other for a while, and both of us hope that the other will come up with a great plan, which will allow us to run away.
"I guess that we found a way to get rid of Denver." I say, and he nods slightly.
"Yeah at least one good thing came from all of this mess." He tells me, before he sits on the bed, and he sighs loudly.
"I have no idea what we should do, but I guess that we should try to run away one last time.
We didn't manage to do that when we thought that it will be pretty easy, so maybe it will work out if we won't plan it that much." He says, and I laugh at his logic, or more like the lack of it.
"We can try, I don't think that we have anything to lose anyway." I say.
"But don't worry about me too much. I know that the punishment will hurt, although I doubt that it will be as painful as the wounds that I got when I fought with the rogues, so I'm sure that I will survive." I tell him.
"You will survive, but you will also have a lot of scars, and you will be in pain for something that you didn't do." He says.
"And I'm not sure if they want to just cut your skin, or if they want to put something on the knife to slow your werewolf healing.
Denver said something about the infection, and I really doubt that he would have said that if he didn't know that you won't heal very quickly." He says, and I smile at him sadly.
"I will be fine." I assure him.
I just hope that they won't allow him to stay with me, because I'm not very good at handling the pain, and I don't want him to look at Denver when he will be hurting me.
