Trevor's POV
Oden and I walk downstairs a few hours later, and we wait for Gabriel, before we walk towards my grandparents' house.
The guards follow us, but they give us some space, and my parents already left a while ago, so it's just the three of us.
When we reach my grandparents' house, I can see that most of the family is already there, so I smile slightly, before I choose to sit near the back of the house.
If we will go in that direction, then we will reach the pack border a bit quicker than if we went in any other direction.
And this side of the pack lands is not guarded as much as the rest, because the people don't really go there, since there's noting there, other than a few small clearings.
A few of the family members come over to greet us, although I can see that they don't want to talk with my mate very much.
I decide that I shouldn't be angry at them, because I know that they'd sure that my mate killed all of those kids.
They were told that someone took a picture of my mate after he did that.
And I'm sure that they believe everyone who confirmed that the pictures weren't edited, so I can't blame them for that.
Although I do blame Denver and a few other people, because I already told them that I'm sure that Oden was with me, and that he didn't do anything.
But they still don't believe us, because they saw some picture, and the person on it looked just like my mate.
I decide that I shouldn't think about it for now, because it's distracting me, and I'm supposed to be looking around, so I can find a good moment to sneak out.
I know that it might take a few hours, because of how many people are here.
So, I should pay attention, to make sure that I won't miss any opportunity, since I might not have another one.
About an hour later, I can see that everyone's busy with something, and the guards seem to be talking about something to each other.
So, I quickly stand up, and I gesture for Oden to do the same, before I look around to make sure that no one's watching us.
Then we walk towards the woods, and we go in the direction of the pack border.
When we're far enough for the guards to not hear us, then we hide our scent with a few plants that I gathered when I went to hide the bags.
After we're sure that no one will be able to smell us, we shift and we run towards the border.
Although we stop for a few seconds, to take the bags which are waiting on us under a fallen tree.
When we have our things in our jaws, then we run towards the pack border as quickly as we can.
We manage to reach it without coming across any guards, but right before we can go out of the pack lands, I can hear that someone's clearing their throat.
