Your relationship with Brie was complicated because you wanted her but she wasn't ready to come out to the public. And you never pressured her to come out in fact you waited...and waited. Until you had just become a thing on the side.

If you two were ever out in public together she wouldn't let you walk too close, you couldn't hold her hand, you couldn't even touch her.

At first, you didn't mind but eventually, it became clear to you that she had no intention of announcing your relationship to the world.

You were devastated obviously but you still didn't want to lose her but you couldn't live in secrecy. You loved Brie so much but you couldn't do that.

So at a dinner that you planned, you planned on confronting her asking when you two wouldn't have to hide anymore.

You just hoped that she would say soon, but you weren't rushing her but it had been six months and she made no mention of it at all.

When she got there you thought she was beautiful..although in your eyes she could never not look beautiful, but the outfit was so simple: a brown sweater and black jeans.

"Hey, you look beautiful." You compliment pulling her into a brief hug, smelling her honey perfume.

"So do you!" She said as you pulled away, and you stepped aside to let her in, "It smells amazing in here."

Once you closed the door and turned to face her she pulled you down by your neck into a kiss and by the time she pulled away you had a dazed smile on your face as your brain was hazy which made her smile.

Seeing the effect she had on you, and when you finally got out of your daze you realized that as well, anytime you would bring up your relationship status she would kiss you making you forget anything but her lips on yours.

You frowned at the realization and cleared your throat ushering her to the kitchen where dinner was. You made pasta and garlic bread.

Dinner went well or as well as it could with your mind clouded by the thoughts running through it, if Brie noticed she didn't say anything.

When you two were cleaning the dishes you sat on the counter listening to Brie talk about the new movie that she was in.

You were listening (not really) too many things were running through your mind for you to focus on her, which was a first. So you surprised yourself and her when you asked, "When are we going to stop hiding us?" You gestured between the two of you. She stopped washing the dishes to look at you, and when she saw your serious face she knew you weren't joking, she chuckled lowly, before moving to stand in between your legs, she rubbed your arms, and your eyes fluttered closed at her touch, stood on her tiptoes to kiss your neck all the way up to your lips. And just like any other time you got lost in her until the voice of reason appeared your in head telling you not to fall for it again. So you pushed her away, shaking your head "Nope. No, you will not trick me, not again. Do you even want to go public about us?"

You stood from the counter and she took a few steps back seemingly hurt that it didn't work. "You said you wouldn't rush me." She said defensively crossing her arms over her chest.

And you sighed, running a hand through your hair, "I'm not rushing you but it's been six months, Brie. So I need you to tell me now if I should be spending time on this."

She frowned at your words but didn't drop her defensive posture, it doesn't seem like you're giving me time. And what are you saying I'm not worth your time?"

You scoffed now feeling yourself grow agitated, "I didn't say that. Okay, I'm just tired of all the secrecy and it doesn't look like things are gonna change anytime soon."

"You know what? I'm gonna let you handle your feelings because you are not gonna rush me into that. So call me when you sort yourself out." You let out an annoyed breath as she walked out of your kitchen soon followed by a door slamming.

You kicked at the cabinet completely pissed at her for putting words in your mouth and leaving when it was crucial to talk things out. Why is it so complicated?
