Scrumdicious| scrumptious and delicious
MONDAY, 10 FEBRUARY
Let me let you in on my new routine.
Athenkosi goes to sleep with Buhle but I fetch him when he wakes up in the morning. I make him a bottle, feed him and put him back to sleep. In those two seconds that he sleeps, I have to eat, bath and do everything that I need to do.
He then wakes up a few minutes later so I bathe him. He is more playful now. When we got Athenkosi, he was 5 months old.
He is now 7 months and he is not so troublesome. He is such a peaceful child to raise. I love him so much. We have an insane bond. He is my favourite thing about this place. He brings me so much joy. His smile awakens a love within me that I've never felt before.
The only sad thing is that he reminds me of home. I really miss my dad, my grandmother and Ntonto. My grandparents always call me to check on me but I still have no contact with my dad or Ntonto.
Anyway, I bathe Athenkosi and clothe him. He is wearing black bermuda shorts and a white t-shirt. He looks so handsome. I take some photos of him. I normally do this and frame them.
I then take my baby boy and we go downstairs where I put down his number mat and he sits and watches cartoons. Athenkosi is so lazy, he doesn't even want to roll or crawl but he can sit up. And if you don't show him that you're watching him then you can see him crawling.
Buhle walks in with Lonwabo and Lonwabo runs to Athenkosi and hugs him.
Me: good morning, baby.
Lonwabo: good morning, mama.
Me: good morning, Buhle.
Buhle: good morning, ma'am.We sit and chat for a while before I get a call from Zizwe.
Zizwe: I am in Joburg.
Me: what?!
Zizwe: I already told Buhle so that you can come and see me. she will watch the kids.
Me: oh okay but where are we going?
Zizwe: anywhere, just come here.
Me: send me your location then.
Zizwe: okay.He hangs up and I rush upstairs and change into a nice, yellow sundress. I also comb out my natural afro and wear some sandal.
I grab my phone, card and the keys to one of Nkosi's cars. I then drive to the location he sent me and it sends me straight to an apartment in Waterfall.
The apartment complex is so beautiful, it makes me want to move here. I get to the estate gate and he sends me a code. I punch it in and drive right in. I park the car next to his and I walk right to his door.
I knock and he opens the door with the biggest smile ever.
I jump on him and he catches me. Honestly, I don't even think far about it. I just really missed my best friend. We do a little dance and...
Zizwe: come on in.
After I tell you what happens after this, I will give you Zizwe's aesthetic because this man looks scrumdicious.
Me: you are living nice.
His apartment is really beautiful, I am not lying.
Zizwe: thank you. I ordered some food so you stay here while I get it.
He gets the food and we sit together, catch up and eat. After eating, we continue to sit and chat.
Me: how long have you been here?
Zizwe: a few days.
Me: and you didn't tell me?
Zizwe: I was busy. I didn't even tell my mom that I am coming here. I told her that I'm in the Cape.
Me: what?I say looking at him with furrowed brows and he furrows his brows to mock me. I laugh and playfully punch him. He grabs my arm playfully, lifts my arm and starts tickling my armpits.
I laugh uncontrollably while trying to get away. He gets tired and lets go so I run to his bedroom, he follows me and we chase each other around the bed. I get on it and attempt to jump over but he runs and catches me.
He continues to tickle me with me screaming "stop" to the top of my lungs. Eventually, he stops and looks at me. I look back at him. His eyes yelling at me to come close, our breathing still quite irregular because of the running.
He pulls me closer by my waist and stares into my soul.
Zizwe: you are so beautiful.
Me: thank you.I whisper in response to the compliment.
Zizwe: have my child.
I nod as this moment takes me away. My breathing becomes a bit irregular again as he comes closer again. He brings his chin to my neck and I can feel his breath on my nerves. It's giving me goosebumps throughout my body.
He starts walking towards the bed, with me taking the same steps but backwards.
WAIT! WHAT?! A CHILD?!
I attempt to walk away but he grabs me by my wrist and pulls me back to him. Who am I kidding? I am gone already.
His lips meet mine and it's like magic. I am taken to a world far far way. Time stands still and all life stops breathing. I embrace this moment with my heart and soul.
THEE HOURS LATER
I wake up in Zizwe's arms and then it hits me! No! What did I just do? What did we just do?
Me: Zizwe.
Zizwe: mmmm.He wakes up and looks at me.
Me: this is so wrong.
Zizwe: no, look...He says before uttering a bunch of comforting words that make me feel that maybe what we did wasn't so bad. Maybe it wasn't a mistake and maybe it wasn't a bad idea but that still doesn't remove the amount of guilt that I am feeling right now.
Me: I have to go.
I get up and get my things before rushing out. I then drive to Nkosi's house, biting my nails because of the amount of guilt that I feel.
I get to the house, walk in and find Nkosi in the dining room area.
Nkosi: hey, beautiful.
He says with the biggest smile ever.
Me: leave me alone.
I head upstairs where I take a quick shower. I wash off everything that happened.
After taking my shower, I wear some sleepwear and go to Buhle's room. I walk in and take Athenkosi before rushing to my bedroom with him. His bottles and everything are here so I just lock the door.
I think I will just ignore their existence and avoid them for tonight.
