It was close to dinner when my phone rang, GABRIEL. What the hell did he want? As much as I wanted to ignore him and draw out his suffering, as a form of payback for not being there at the docks, The conversations with Sebastian did not make me forget about the boy who held my heart back in Marbella, but made me miss him even more.
I excused myself from Sebastian and I's conversation and walked towards the far side of the deck. I heard him get up and go inside the cabin.
"Hello." I answered.
I heard Gabriel breath a big sigh of relief on the other side of our call.
"Hello, beautiful. How has your day been? Bored yet?" His voice was soft like alone made burning sensation in my core ignited. It was different than the one yesterday. This was painful, like fire. The other was soft and warm.
I wanted to mess with him, but it was hard when even the sound of his voice alone made every nerve in my body ignite.
"It's been okay." It was a good middle-of-the-road answer.
"Care to elaborate?" he pressed.
"It is nice. The boat is more like a yacht. I feel weird. I made lunch for us but that is all I can do. I don't know if I will make it for two months. Let alone until we stop in Cartagena in two days." I revealed too much of my true thoughts regarding the trip.
"Has that fool done something wrong? Answer me honestly." I planned to answer him with a half-truth, but whenever he asked me to answer honestly I was drawn to comply.
"It is obvious that he wants to ask questions and does not like you. Also, I just don't think that I need two months to know if this will work. I already have my answer."
"And....?" he wanted to know. This was my way of messing with him. I would make him wait.
"Come to Cartagena in two days and you'll get your answer."
"I swear I can hear your smirk through the phone. You are killing me little sister." He knew I hated it when he called me that.
"Stop calling me that! I am not your sister." I complained.
"Really? What are you then?" He was treading on thin ice. "Say it." By saying it I would be making the thing we had official.
"I'm yours," I said. He was possessive. I saw that. From how he cared for his cars to how he was when were together.
"You are mine. Never forget that." His voice was dark, non-threatening, and reminded me of the way he talked to me the other night. I hear my mother yell in the distance Dinner!
"Before I go, just humor me one question." he continued.
"Anything." I meant it. I would give him everything if he asked for it.
"Has he touched you?" He was being possessive.
"No. Even if he wanted to, he's not you." I heard him laugh lightly on the other side. Then he groaned.
"I have to go. Or else you and I will be having phone sex and I don't think your mother or Antonio would like it if I was late to dinner."
His words made me hot. I burned for him. The want. No, the need I felt for him to touch me was the strongest sensation I had ever felt. However, the thought of doing that with him made me crazy. I wanted it.
"Call me later."
"Anastasia! Are you asking me for phone sex?" his voice radiated fake shock and one hundred percent desire and intrigue.
"Yes. Gabriel. I am asking you to call me and tell me all the things you would do to me if it were just us on the boat." I whispered lightly and hung up. Leaving him most likely hard and on a cliffhanger.
I went in for dinner. In the kitchen, I found Sebastian with a mojito, a sangria, and a full plate of fish and greens.
"Dinner!" he exclaimed.
