Undercover

"But Grey, she missed her recent check in" Nyla told Sergeant Grey

"Yes but we cannot interfere until she calls it off!" He replies

"But she could be in real danger" Nyla countered his reply

"But we don't know that! Trust me! I am worried too but we cannot interfere y/n can handle it." he said as he stood up at his desk

Outside of Grey's office Lucy and John are sat watching the interaction between the two.

"Do you think something is wrong" Lucy asks still watching attempting to read lips and body language

"No. I wish we could hear what they are saying. It seems serious." He says watching the two

Soon Grey's office door is swung open by a very angry Nyla storming out followed by Wade.

Lucy and John quickly turn back around to face their desks to not get caught.

"Nyla! Leave this alone until we know more. You don't want to mess things up." He says following her

"It's her first undercover case! It's been 6 months!" She yells "this was only supposed to take at most 3. Something has to be wrong."

"I know your worried. We all are. But she knows the training. She knows what to do if she is in trouble." He says.

Lucy looks over to John "do you think y/n is in trouble?" She whispers

"I hope not." He replies his mind thinking if every worse case scenario

Nyla walks off and Grey backs into his office. John and Lucy  have been on the computers all day helping Lopez and Nyla with detective cases.

Nyla walks over to the both of them. " have you gotten the addresses we needed yet Nolan."

"Oh um, not quite but I'm almost done. You know how computers can be." He replied

"Ok we'll hurry up we got to get a move on that case." She said

"What was that with you and Grey" Lucy says not being able to keep to herself

"It was nothing everything is fine." Nyla said

"It didn't seem fine. Is y/n okay?" John ask

"Y/n just missed her last check in with me so we have no idea what's going on. But she is still undercover so if you see her leave her be." She says walking away

"It's not like y/n to miss a check in" Lucy starts "she knows how important they are"

"Yeah it is very interesting" John says "maybe she'll check in late."

"I hope so" Lucy says getting back to work on the computers and John following suit after.

A few hours go by and Lucy is at her apartment getting dinner ready for her and Tamara. She grabs the pan out of the oven when her phone starts ringing. It's a blocked number

"Hello?" She asks

"Yo Nina! You got the goods. The guys are asking for them."

Lucy pauses both out of shock and confusion. You had called Lucy because you nearly got caught. You convinced the guys to meet up to do a trade. Their trust for your supply of meth. You needed Lucy's help because you didn't know what to do.

"I got a lot of goods. What exactly they looking for?" Lucy replies as Nina

"They want the supply of meth at the top of the parking garage on 9th." You said, " get here before 10:00."

"Will do" Lucy says as you hung up

Lucy puts down her phone and changes. Once she finishes she grabs her phone to call Nyla and Grey. She knocks on Tamara's door as the phones starts ringing.

"Tamara dinner is done but I got to go. I don't know when I'll be back." Lucy says as Nyla answers her phone

"Nyla! Y/n called for help!" Lucy frantically fills in Nyla as she drives to the parking garage.

Once Lucy gets there and wired up she heads up.

"Nina! How nice of you to join me" you say

"Wouldn't miss a big pay day now would I." Lucy says

You and the guys go back and forth on pricing and once you decide on a price they grab their duffel bag. Once they unzip it you see all the money.

"All units roll in" Tim says into the radio

A dozen uniforms come up and arrest everyone involved in the trade.

-back at the station-

"Well I'm just glad your okay but next time you miss one of your check in days we will find you. No matter what." Grey says mostly joking but somewhat serious

"Well thank you but I don't plan of missing anymore." You laugh

You spend the rest of your day catching up with the people at the station. As much as you love doing your job you like to be home. And getting payed. That's a plus
