The Rookie one-shots

La Feira pt 2

"I can see what I can do to help" you say as Tim and Lucy cuff you up and lead you to their shop. You begin to think of what it's going to be like back at the station. You have become a criminal. You didn't know how everyone would react.

"You know." You pause looking around, " it's weird being in the back of the shop." You look up at Lucy in the passenger seat.

She doesn't say anything and just looks at you. "You've changed." Is all she says.

"The way I look or act. Cause prison does a number to both." You say slightly sarcastic.

"I guess both you just don-" Lucy starts saying before she gets untutored by Tim

"Don't interact with her boot!" He yells

"I'm not your boot anymore" she counters

The rest of the ride is silent due to the awkwardness. You spent your time thinking and dreading the moment you have to walk into the station.

Once you arrive tim grabs you from the back and puts his hand on you shoulder and pushes you in slightly. As you past the processing rooms you immediately feel eyes on you. Glares feel like daggers . Everyone in the station blaming you for Jackson's death. You'd deserve it but what hurts the most is Angela's stare. You look at her and she immediately looks away and gets back to work. You get to Grey's office

"Sir we got her here." Tim says getting Grey's attention

"Good." He turns to you. " do you remember working on Rosalind's case the first year of your training?" He asks

"Wow no hello." You say sarcastically

"You don't deserve a hello" he says sternly, " now! Do you remember or not!"

"What is to ya." You say pushing your luck

" I can have you sent to the worst prison cell ever!" He says "now answer the damn question."

"Yes I remember! It was the worst month of my life!" You yell back "you, of all people, would know I would never forget what happened."

"What happened" Lucy asks but her question ultimately getting ignored

"We have all LAPD officers looking for her right now." Grey informs Tim " I need you and Lucy to get back out there. With her"

"Yes sir." Tim says beginning to turn you and Gina round

"Wait she escaped prison?" You ask, your whole tone changing the way you talked to Grey

"Yes yesterday evening. We need your help. You know best what her next moves might be." He says with a much calmer tone than before

"If I go out there. She gonna," you start your breath picking up as memories of your last interaction play through your mind, "she will kill me!"

"Why?! Why would she kill you? What happened?" Lucy asks losing her patience

"You don't wanna know. Let's just go." You whisper

As your walking out of his office with time Grey begins to say something. " L/n." He pauses hesitating on what he says next, " thank you for helping." You nod back at him as you continue to the shop.

You are in the back as everyone drives to where Rosalind was last spotted. Once you got there Lucy got you out of the back and walked with you up the mountain trail.

"This place gives me nightmares" you say to Lucy

"Why? What happened here?" She asks still pushing your shoulder

"My TO got shot by Rosalind here." You look around watching every nook and cranny to make sure you were clear. Something you learned as a cop.

"Were they ok?" Lucy asks as you both make your way farther up the trail
