I can't breath

Since my father- (well the man I thought was my father)- left the tribe I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Talking about me. Whispering about me and my mother.

"He isn't Bennett's child you know. That's why he left."

"How unfaithful she was. I completely misjudged her."

It was because of this my father left.
It is because of this my mother left also.
She blamed me until the end.
I ruined her life.

"You are not my child! Never will be my child! You're a curse I say! A curse!"

Even now I can still feel them staring at me. Watching me, judging me, talking about me. I feel like I can't breath right.

The cafeteria is packed with people. Sombody is always sitting together with someone else. And then another somebody is with another someone. They chat and talk about their day. They tell jokes and laugh their heads off slamming their hands on the table with how hard they're laughing.

It's all just noise. Loud noise that fills the entire room.

I had come to the cafeteria today for dinner cause I ran out of ingredients to make me a proper meal back at my cabin. I'm just sitting by myself at table in the corner silence, nobody to talk to. Nobody to make noise with.

The noise is too much for me!
I shouldn't have come here!
I can't breath!

No, it's all in your head Luke. Just remember what the doctor said. It's all made up in your head. Nobody is watching you.....you can breath.

But I need to get out of here. It doesn't matter how good the salisbury steak is, I need to leave!

So I got up, grabbed my plate and made my way towards the front exit. All I had to do was make it past the crowd of people, throw away my food, and set the plate in the dish rack. Just three things.

But with every step I take I feel like the imaginary stares are trying to freeze me in place. My pace slows to a shuffle. My hands are shaking.

Through the people's noise I can hear slight whispering around me. This time they are watching, they are talking about me.

"Is he ok?"
"What's wrong with him?"
"What is he doing?"
"Is he just staring off into space? In the middle of the cafeteria to?"
"There he goes again. Being weird."
"What else would you expect?"

Move. Just move! Move your legs!

JUST GO!!!

I was so focused on everyone's voices and trying to hurry up out of there that when I bursted into a sprint I slammed into someone. The tray I was carrying went all over their clothes.

I backed up, trembling with every step. Of all the people why him?

  "You!" He hissed.

Peter Dawnwood.
He's RiverMoon's ladies man with his irresistible looks. A regular blonde blue-eyed beauty with tan skin and a fair bit of muscle. He's been through half of the girls in RiverMoon and I've heard he's been with half of the girls in the neighboring town Howlington. Even today he has a cute girl standing next to him with an arm over her shoulder, but it won't be there for much longer.

"P-Peter it was an accident.. I promise I'll look where I'm going next time." I just barely managed to get my voice out as I take steps away from Peter who was cracking his knuckles together.

"You think that’s gonna be enough?" Peter asked, "Do you know where I got this? Millie over there spent all her allowance to get me this jacket."

I glance behind Peter over to the girl he was with, Millie. She looks pretty annoyed that I ruined her present.
