Jake's pov:
It's Monday morning and we just arrived at school. Valentine's Day is in 2 days and I still haven't asked Johnnie if he wants to go in a date with me. I don't even know what we would do on a date. We could go to dinner but I don't want him to think I'm taking him out just because I want him to eat. Or we could go to the zoo? Not that's fucking dumb. Watch a movie? No, we do that all the time. Ugh, why does this have to be so hard?
"Jake?" Sam asks as we walk to our class
"Yeah?"
"Can you help me come up with a date idea for me and Colby? I can't think of any and Valentine's Day is coming up." Sam frowns
"Dude, I'm still stressing in what imma do with Johnnie! Fuck, I haven't even asked him yet." I dramatically throw my arms into the air
"We're so fucked." Sam shakes his head
"Yeah..." I sigh
"I'm thinking I might just take him to a restaurant. Kinda lame but I know he'd like it. Maybe we could go to this abandoned wearhouse that next door." Sam smiles as he finally thought of a date idea
"That sounds fun. Wish I thought of that."
"Just think of stuff that you guys like to do together."
" I guess...uhhh.. I like playing guitar with him." I blush
"Then write him a song." Sam smiles
"Fuck no! That embarrassing. What if it's ass? Also you expect me to write a song in 2 days? No." I frown
"Then i dont know, dude." Sam frowned
"Anyways here's my class. Hope you think of something."
I walk to class even more stressed than before. Ideas running through my mind but none of them stick. None of them are perfect enough for him. Fuck!!!
Lunch rolls around and Kat walks up to our table.
"Hey guys, so someone is hosting a Valentine's party tomorrow and on Valentine's Day! You guys should come." She smiles
"We'll go." Sam smiles as he holds Colby's hand
"We'll come too." Johnnie says as he looks at me
"Cool, see you guys there." Kat smiles as she walks off
"Who hosts a party on Valentine's day?" I ask genuinely confused on who would go
"I mean not everyone has dates." Colby laughs
"I guess..it's probably just a huge fuck fest." I roll my eyes
"I think we should go then." Johnnie looks at me directly in the eyes causing my face to go completely red
"I'm kidding." He laughs

After school we all go to my house and Sam decided to make us something to eat. I smile as I watch Johnnie take bites from his plate. I really want him to tell me why he struggles with eating but I know that will never happen....I'm just happy he's eating full meals so I can't really complain.
After we all finished eating Sam and Johnnie decided to do some homework as Colby and I went to smoke outside.
"So, you and Johnnie?" Colby looks at me
"Will you ever actually ask him out?"
