The Blazing Star prophecy: A Kotlc Fanfic

Chapter 3

Sophie woke up to the faces of all of her friends and Blur and Wraith. Their faces were concerned and they had shadows under their eyes. And she woke up in her room, which was strange, since she slept at Calla's Panakes.

But then she realized... this wasn't her room. As soon as Dex took out his illusion breaker, she realized she was in a dark cave. The one she'd been kidnapped in, deep in the cave, she also realized.

"We... have bad news," Blur said.
"What is it?" Sophie asked, feeling inpatient.
"Alden, Juline, Kesler, Edaline, Grady, Prentice, Tiergan, Lord Cassius, Timkin and Mr. Forkle have all been captured." Wraith said
"By the Neverseen??" She asked, shocked.
"Yes. All adults held a meeting last night to discuss things at Everglen. Turns out the Neverseen somehow knew about the meeting and ambushed us their. The only reason me, Blur, Della and Biana escaped was because of vanishing. Fitz somehow escaped." Blur responded
"Oh. But we can rescue them, where are they?" Sophie asked.
"We assume the Neverseen took them to Exile, because before they were captured, Mr. Forkle transmitted to us that he heard something about saying they were taking them to Exile." Wraith told her.
"Well, then, let's go to Exile!" Sophie said.
"Of course, we wanted you to decide who was coming and who isn't, you're obviously going." Della said, appearing out of air, startling Sophie.
"Okay, so, who wants to go?" Sophie asked

Everyone raised their hands. Everyone. This was a problem.

"Okay, so, Blur and Wraith should go because of their abilities. Della and Biana should also go, because they're vanishers and with me Everyone can vanish. Same for Wraith." She said.
"And I should go because I have force fields and you might need them in case the vanishing stops," Maruca said.
"Okay, so that leaves us with Blur, Wraith, Della, Biana, Maruca and...?"
"I should go because I'm-" Fitz started.
"Your cognate. Yes, but I probably won't need telepathy, also, it's better if you stay here so I can transmit to you if we're in danger." Sophie told him.
"Okay," Fitz agreed.
"In that case, I should be part of the backup plan 'cause I don't think fire will be that useful there at that moment." Marella said
"Makes sense," She agreed.
"Same here, my empathy won't be that useful," Stina said
"Yes," She agreed again.
"I should go, because, well, I can do the command thingy, and that will be useful," Keefe informed them.
"Okay, then, that leaves us with Blur, Wraith, Della, Biana, Maruca, Keefe and me. And the backup plan with Fitz, Stina and Marella. What about you, Tam, Linh and Rayni?"
"I think I should be with the backup group because I can use my shadows to make them invisible if  we need to."
"Good point. What about you, Linh?" Sophie asked
"I'll stay with the backup group because if Tam needs my mist to thicken the shadows, we'll have backup."
"Yes. So Rayni?"
"I'll... come with you. It makes sense because I know the Neverseen's thinking and could mabye be useful?" Rayni told her.
"Or she's part of their plan and will betray you!" Linh exclaimed
"I'm.On. Your. Side." Rayni said, clearly frustrated.
"Yeah, and she's coming with us, that's final, Linh. Anyways, so, Me, Keefe, Blur, Wraith, Della, Maruca, Biana and Rayni who are going and Tam, Linh, Fitz, Stina and Marella Dex, you should stay, Wylie, you should come." Sophie told everyone. Dex nodded in agreement and...
"I'm coming." Wylie said, and Sophie transmitted a Yes to him

"Let's go!" Sophie called, and did the pattern. Thankfully, Queen Nubiti, her former bodyguard came and gave the magsidian to leap to Exile.

All at the same time, without words, the friends and the adults held hands and leaped to Exile, ready for whatever was waiting for them.

As soon as they arrived, Sophie detected Mr. Forkle's consciousness. Mabye he wasn't unconscious.

Sophie! Help! We're here! He transmitted.
Mr. Forkle? She asked
Yes. Sophie! He answered.

She followed Mr. Forkle's transmissions, soon they stopped, and Sophie wondered if he'd fallen unconscious. They were all invisible, so no saw them and then she saw all of them. Alden, Edaline, Grady, Juline, Kesler, Lord Cassius, Prentice, Tiergan, and Mr. Forkle. Mr. Forkle looked weaker than she'd ever seen before. Tired. No battle left in his eyes. They were half closed, which meant he was half-conscious. Juline and Edaline were completely conscious.

I'm here. Sophie transmitted to everyone, even though Grady, Lord Cassius and Prentice were completely unconscious. Everyone's head snapped up, though.

Sophie? Tiergan asked.
Yes, here to rescue all of you after you held a "only adults" meeting and got ambushed, She mused.
All of the adults went silent, Blur phased through the bars, grabbing everyone one by one as Sophie enhanced him. Soon, everyone was out.

"Couldn't be more glad to see you," Mr. Forkle said, tears in his eyes as Blur helped him up.
"Sophie!" Edaline exclaimed, rushing to hug her. Sophie threw her arms around her mom. Grady joined in a couple of moments later.
"Oh, Sophie. Looks like you also came with Th- Keefe. Edaline told me what happened."
"You saw?" She asked Edaline
"Um... yes." Edaline mumbled.
"AND YOU TOLD GRADY!" Keefe asked
"Uh, she had to. I asked her, and she was cornered. I knew something was going on between you and Sophie. And I think he's good for you. But I still need to have The Talk with him." Grady said
"Well, I'm excited about a talk with the Gradynator." Keefe said.
"Of course you are," Sophie said, elbowing him.
"Put aside relationships, we need to get out of here before they find out what the loud noise was." Mr. Forkle said, looking amused.
"You're right," Grady said.

Sophie handed Alden the magsidian, and Alden fiddled with it before they arrived at Havenfield. But as soon as re-formed, the world went black.
