Keefe P.O.V.
Mr. Forkle was back.
Great.
Now they could try again.
But Mr. Forkle wasn't in a good condition.
He gasped like it was the end of the world.
"Are you okay?" Fitz asked,
"You kids... overreacting." He said, his voice still not quite steady.
"We're not overreacting. You should see yourself." Fitz said as Mr. Forkle dried his eyes.
"You are. I've gotten lost before. It's not my first time." Mr. Forkle said,
"Where?"
"In Prentice's mind." He said, and his voice cracked. He was feeling guilt, Keefe realized.
"I'm fine. I have to try for Sophie again. You kids can go." He said, and everyone except Keefe left.
Suddenly someone appeared behind Keefe.
It was the other Mr. Forkle.
"Oh, brother, you are pushing yourself too hard. I will heal Sophie." He said with wisdom.
"What? Why are you here?" Mr. Forkle started, asking.
"To heal her." the other Mr. Forkle said,
"Okay.. then I could leave. You were better at knowing her limits, and I realized I should've listened to you when you said that we should make her mind inepenetrable to breaking-" Mr. Forkle's voice cracked, and he took a deep breath as his eyes welled up.
"But then it wouldn't have been natural. Do not think I know everything, brother." Spirit Mr. Forkle said,
"You are older than me. In a way, you do." Mr. Forkle argued,
"Okay, as much as I love this drama, we really have to save Sophie. So let's start now." Keefe said,
As soon as they dived in, a familiar voice spoke softly.
"I-I'm sorry, I-I realized th-that I sh-should've c-come back." Sophie said, trembling-hard.
"My friends will die now, because I-I wo-on't b-be there to h-help them!" She continued, starting to cry.
"You can be healed, Sophie." Keefe said gently, holding her.
"R-really? E-even a-after h-how b-broken I am?" Sophie asked, suprised.
"Of course," Mr. Forkle said, looking away and blinking hard.
"Did I drag you under?" Sophie asked softly, wiping her tears away.
Mr. Forkle simply nodded.
"Okay. I say this, I love my friends and family waiting for me in the outside world. I want to come back for them. I want to forget." Sophie whispered, and cracks repaired themselves.
"I remember..." Sophie gasped as memories hit her.
"I'm going to go back." Sophie hissed, determined.

I am going to go back,
I am going to go back,
I am going to go back,
