That same day,
Shubman, surrounded by his family, turned to Sara with a hopeful look in his eyes.
Shubman: Sara, why don't you stay here for a bit longer?
Sara: I have my flight tomorrow in the evening.
Shubman: Cancel the flight. Pleaseeee??
His mom: Haa beta, ruk jaa na... Kitne dino baad aayi hai..
Shahneel: Hmm Sara... Please!! I'm not done with our gossip sessions yet..
His dad: Yes, Sara. Your presence has brought so much happiness to our home. Please extend your trip.
Sara (feeling the warmth of their hospitality): Okay!! I'll cancel my flight. Even I'm loving my time here.
Shubman (excitedly): Yes Yes Yes!!!
Shubman, caught up in the moment, felt the urge to hug Sara and cupped her cheeks for a kiss. However, as he glanced around and noticed the entire family watching, he quickly changed the course.
Shubman (with a slight blush on his face, he improvised): Uhmm.. Sara, there seems to be something on your cheeks.
He was trying to play it cool in front of everyone, he gestured as if there was a speck on her cheek, hoping to divert attention from his initial impulse.
Sara, with a knowing smile, played along, gently touching her cheek and pretending to inspect it.
Shahneel: Smooth move, bro!! Very smooth!!
Shubman: What are you trying to say? I'm not lying. There's actually something on her cheek.
Shubman was still pretending to be removing a speck from Sara's cheek with a gentle thumb motion. But he was actually subtly caressing her cheek.
Shahneel: Hmm... Something something karke tera haanth uske cheeks se hatt hi nahi raha hai...
The family, sensing the light-hearted moment, chuckled softly, enjoying the innocent exchange.
His mom: Shubman, karle... Hum apni aankhein band kar lete hai...
Shubman: Arey kya karu?!
His mom: Jo tu karne wala tha... Don't act innocent now..
Keart aunty covered her own eyes with one hand and playfully covered Shubman's dad's eyes with the other.
Sara started blushing at the playful moment and she gently pushed Shubman to help him return to a normal state.
Shubman: Khol lo aankhein yaar!!
His mom: Ho gaya kya?
Shubman: Karne hi nahi diya isne...
Sara, with cheeks turning as red as a ripe tomato, couldn't help but blush, even more as everyone around her started chuckling and laughing at what Shubman said.
Shahneel: God! Sara is all red! Haha!!
His mom: Chalo ab usko pareshaan mat karo tum log..
Shubman: Start aapne hi kiya tha...
His mom: Chup kar!!
Shahneel: Guys!! Let's go somewhere! Maybe on a road trip or something?
His dad: But where?
Sara: May I suggest something?
Shubman: What?
Sara: How far is Amritsar from here? I mean if it's not too far, then we can go to the Golden temple. I've never been there but it's so beautiful.
Shubman: It's a four and a half hours drive from here, I guess.
Shahneel: Let's go then. We'll return at night.
