Neither accepting nor denying!

One fine morning, Shubman got a call from his manager, Sebastian.

Sebastian: Hey Shub, I got a call from the show "Dil Diyan Gallan". They want you to be a guest on that show hosted by Sonam Bajwa. Are you interested?

Shubman: Yeah, sure! What's the plan?

Sebastian: The whole episode will be dedicated to you. They'll ask about your personal life, cricketing journey, and struggles. But don't worry, they won't pry too much. You can deflect any question you're not comfortable with. What do you think?

Shubman: Alright. Sounds good to me. Let them know I'm in.

Sebastian: Will do. I'll inform them right away.

After Shubman spoke with Sebastian, he felt that the show would definitely ask him about his dating life since it was a hot topic nationwide. It still is. Wanting to keep Sara in the loop, Shubman decided to give her a call and get her opinion on the matter. He wanted to let Sara know beforehand because obviously, he wouldn't just go on the show and talk about it without telling her. So, he called her up to have a conversation.

Shubman: Hey! You up?

Sara: Before your call, I wasn't, but now, I am. So, what's up?

Shubman: Wanted to discuss something.

Sara: Everything alright?

Shubman: Yeah, baby, it's just that I have to go on a show. They'll ask me about my cricketing journey and personal life. What if they ask about my dating life?

Sara: Yeah, that could happen.

Shubman: Okay, so I won't take her name, you already know whom I'm talking about. What I'm trying to say is that they are surely going to ask about you and her. And it's something that the whole nation wants to know. Should I just tell them that you are my one and only, and not anybody else?

Sara: Hmm.. I get it.. but maybe it's better to keep it private for now. Let's not announce it on the show. My advice is to say whatever feels right in the moment.

Shubman: Yeah even I want to keep it private.

Sara: We're in this together. Don't feel any pressure. Even if you end up saying something accidentally, it's fine. We'll manage, okay?

Shubman: Okay so I'll just say whatever sounds right at that moment.

Sara: Yes exactly.

Shubman: Thanks cutie for helping me out. Now, you can go back to sleep. Dream about me.

Sara: I'm wide awake now. Thanks to you!

Shubman: Don't make me feel guilty now.

Sara: Just kiddinggg! I was anyways going wake up. I have some things to finish up.

Shubman: Okay then do your work. We'll talk later.

Sara: Alright! Good morning!

Shubman: Haha, I've never ended a call with "good morning" before. But you're right, it is morning, and I haven't even wished you yet. So, good morning, my love!

Sara: Hahaha!! I'm not in my senses right now. I just woke up. But yeah, whatever, bye!!

Few days later, on the set of "Dil diyan Gallan", Sonam Bajwa was all up in Shubman's life, starting off by asking him about his cricketing journey. But then, she went straight for the dating tea. Shubman, was sort of prepared for it. He had it in his mind that they were gonna grill him about it.
So, Sonam straight-up asked him, "Are you dating?" And Shubman, being the smooth operator that he is, was like, "Maybe." But Sonam wasn't having any of that. She was like, "Maybe? Either you are dating or you're not. Please tell SARA KA SARA sach". But again Shubman was like, "I'm saying SARA KA SARA sach. Maybe, maybe not." He went ahead to say "I think these things should be kept private".
Sonam was like, "Oh, but your friend is saying something else." And then she showed a video where Shubman's close friend, Subeer, spilled some major tea about Shubman's earlier dating days. Subeer was all like, "You remember that time when you went to Mumbai to meet your 'friend'?" And he did the whole air quotes thing, implying that it wasn't just a regular friend. And told that Shubman didn't even tell his dad about it. His dad had to call up Subeer, all concerned and stuff, asking about Shubman's whereabouts. And even then, Shubman didn't spill the beans. He was like, "No, I'm not in Mumbai". He kept it on the down low.
And then, Subeer went on to say that "nowadays, people are super smart and they know who's dating who". He went ahead to add, "Just announce it, make it public, there's no problem as such". It was pretty obvious that he was talking about Sara Tendulkar, because he mentioned something about Shubman's early dating days, before the whole Sara Ali Khan rumours even existed. And let's not miss out on Shubman's blush. Shubman's blushing game was on fire. He literally had to cover his mouth with his hand to hide his blushing face. He turned into a whole red tomato on that couch.
