Was it all a lie?!

Shubman was still processing the news that Sara left for London without exchanging a single word with him. He felt like the ground just disappeared beneath him. He was replaying their last moments together, trying to figure things out. It's a tough spot to be in, where one second you felt like everything is okay and the other second hits you like a ton of bricks. Shubman, feeling all that hurt and confusion, heads back to Chandigarh.
Shubman throws himself into cricket, pouring all his emotions into the game, day and night. It's his outlet, his way of coping with the whirlwind feelings inside him.
And Sara, she immerses herself in her studies, trying to distract herself from the ache in her heart. But no matter how hard they try to push each other away, their thoughts keep circling back to one another. Everyday, before drifting off to sleep, Shubman's and Sara's hearts whispered to each other, making them each other's first and last thoughts. It's like their soul were entwined in a bittersweet dance of love and longing, a silent confession of what they couldn't say out loud.
It's been months since Sara and Shubman had their last conversation. Neither of them were trying to contact each other.
Shubman was reaching new heights in his career and all the girls were crushing on him like crazy. Sara used to read all the articles related to him and used to see all his matches from a distance. She was so proud of him but somewhere in the back of her mind, she wished to be by his side through it all. It was tough for both of them to not have each other's presence when their lives were taking such different and great paths.
When Sara got done with her semester, she came back to India for a mini break. She always enjoyed vacationing in Goa, so she planned a trip with her family to there. Her family was about to join later. So she went there and encountered with Siddharth.

Siddharth: How have you been?

Sara: Good.

Siddharth: Are you still upset about the rumours?

Sara: Are you not?

Siddharth: I had major issues in my life because of those rumours honestly. How's Shubman?

Sara: He's doing good in life.

Siddharth (wanted to cheer her up): Let's hangout since you're here? It'll help you in a good way.

Sara: Alright!

Sara couldn't say no to him as he was his childhood friend and she knew that they had nothing more than a good friendship. They hung out and Siddharth casually posted some pictures with Sara on IG. And it was like throwing fuel on the fire. In no time, Shubman saw those pictures and he started feeling a mix of emotions. Like a mix of surprise, confusion and maybe a hint of jealousy. He even started questioning everything about his relationship with Sara, wondering if it was all a facade. Only he knew how he was bottling up all his emotions at that moment.
Shubman was feeling like he could beat the shit out of that Siddharth.
But deep down, Shubman didn't know what to do next. He didn't talk to Sara for months now and so had no idea if he still has a chance. It was getting so much for Shubman to deal with, that he ended up unfollowing her on IG, which again created a whole new mess.
Sara after realizing that Shubman had unfollowed her, she was broke. But she unfollowed him too.
Their current situation was taking turns for the worst.
Shubman even ended up posting cryptic posts on IG which made everyone target Sara. He was posting pictures with captions like "Don't fall in love with angels" and many more heartbreaking captions. And people were too quick to judge her. They started criticising and trolling her like she has cheated on Shubman, she used him and what not. Basically they were character assassinating her and Shubman played an important role in these. He shouldn't have dragged her publicly but he did. Maybe he was dealing with a lot of emotions at that moment that he didn't realize what all he was doing and so didn't do the aftermath. It was heartbreaking to see her go through such hate and criticism because she was there with him since the very beginning, through his thicks and thins.
There was one thing for sure that only communication would save their relationship (which they had no idea if it still exists) now. They didn't know how to sort this thing out.
And then Shubman got an invite from Raya ( a celebrity dating app). With his current situation, he accepted the invite and did go on dates with foreign models. Deep down, he knew that it's just for distraction and this is not what he wants. His heart was still with Sara so these dates were just like a band-aid on a deep wound. Thinking about Sara everyday, it was like she was living rent-free in his mind, taking up all the space.
These dates were no longer private to Shubman as they somehow made their place in between the ongoing rumours.
When Sara saw these new rumours, she couldn't believe her eyes. Sara had told him a thousand times that she has nothing to do with Siddharth but this time, Sara didn't know if Shubman has moved on in his life. One thing she knew was Shubman is casually going on these dates because not just one model was involved in the rumours. He was going on dates with different models and people were aware of it. But the feeling of him going on dates with other girls was eating her up from inside.
And to add even more fuel to it, he had to go on a social meet with Sara Ali Khan because of his professional commitments.
Even he was questioning his fate, like why a Sara?? Couldn't it be anyone else?
And that meet turned everyone's eyeballs because the paps were quick enough to viral their pictures everywhere. Now it was not just one Sara. There was an addition of yet another Sara.
Sara's heart broke into pieces. All these times, she was still hoping for something positive. But now she saw a picture of them having dinner. For a few days, she just disconnected herself with the world and even ended up unfollowing Sara Ali Khan.
The worst pain is having no contact with the person you're still in love with, who at one point of time, sent you texts that would melt your heart. And now, you can only love them in silence from a distance. Slowly being forced to close a chapter you never wanted to end. Both of them were going through the same emotions. Shubman never wanted to spark rumours of SAK and him.
