3rd person pov
she looked at coriolanus as they walked into the entrance of the arena. she reached her hand out and he grabbed hers as they walked in and heard the chime
"enjoy the show" they heard and dorothea scoffed. she was hating the show if she was honest to herself and everyone around her. she and coriolanus looked around at the dark red light and the sign of the turnstickle moving for them and they slowly approaching sejanus. dorothea walked over slowly with coriolnaus as they let out heavy breathes and she knelt down next to him as he turned and looked at the duo
"I thought they'd send my ma" sejanus said
"yeah, i wish they had" coriolanus replied
"you two need to go" he stated
"we'd like to. we would but we promised we'd get you out" coriolanus said
"why?" sejanus asked
"you're our friend" dorothea said
"I have to do this I had to go where the cameras are" sejanus fought
" you think anyone's watching this? gaul cut the feed. Tributes kill you in here, she's just gonna say you died of the flu. you Need to decide right now. Do you want to fight these tributes or fight for them? Because if you want to make real change, you need to stay alive to do it." coriolanus told him
"how am I gonna make any change from out there?" sejanus asked
"youre rich. Smart, you care. You're the only one who stood up to gaul in that class, right? We're dead if we don't leave right now. Come with me. Spend your father's money, do some real good. Just be another dead body in gauls war. please. Trust me." coriolanus said
"he's right, I completely understand more than anyone else does in the only way we're going to fix any of this is if we survive this and get out of here. I know that you wanna honor him and I know that it sucks seeing him here. But if we don't get out of here, you won't be able to honor him. You'll be dead, and he'll be dead and no one's gonna honor you because you're gonna be dead people die every day, in the games , in the war, in the districts and everything. There is a chance that if we get out of here we can make a change and we can do something that will make people open their eyes and see how this is affecting everyone. And I don't know if you heard, but there was some blades clicking over there and I'm pretty sure I hear some heavy breathing and someone running at us right now. So he said you need to make a decision and I'm begging you to trust us." dorothea said '
"fine" he said and then they heard blades clicking and saw a group running towards them at lightning speed. dorothea grabbed sejanuss hand as coriolanus grabbed hers and they all began to urn
"go!go!" coriolanus yelled and they ran to the entry way together. they got there and jumped over the turnstickle but sejanus tripped and dorothea helped him up
"come on! get up! we have to get to the gate" coriolanus said and then they heard yelling and someone grunting. it was bobbin and he went to attack them but dorothea retailetaited
"I don't want to hurt you" she yelled and coriolanus moved her as he attacked her and he was dead. they heard more footsteps and then ran out
"open the gate! open the gate!" coriolanus yelled and they opened the gate as the three of them got out
"watch the screens gorgeous. Cause I may have missed you tonight, but your Songbird and your sister figure is next on the list " coral said and dorothea sneered at them as they backed up and walked away together. coriolanus looked at dorothea and then at sejanus
"I'm sorry. You two, I am so sorry. I'm so sorry. For all of it" he said and then they heard a car door open and they all looked at each other
"father. Let the buying begin." sejanus said and he got up and walked away and to his parents. dorothea looked at coriolanus who was bleeding and they were led away from the arena together. dorothea now thought about lucy gray and wovey in there together and she got more worried. when they got back to the screening, dorothea separated from coriolanus because he was injured and needed to be patched up but she was stable and okay.
she walked back into the room quietly and like nothing happened as to not wake the others or upset them. she thought about the fact that she just saw coriolanus murder someone and the fact that she had to deal with the idea of her best friend murdering someone who she was barely close with and she hated it.
the idea that coriolanus had killed a tribute to protect her made her think of what he could do to lucy gray or to wovey but it didn't matter now because she was out of the arena and back in the room. she didn't go home that night, she didn't want to. she stayed in the screening room for the rest of the night. she didn't want to leave or miss anything because if she did, she would miss everything and that wasn't worth it. going home meant seeing her parents and them paying for wovey to survive and she didn't want that.
she would just to wait until the next day to see what happened.

i changed it up to show dorothea start to change into someone who isn't so sunshiny and does what she has to do while reminding people who she is and what she stands for.
