"Ren-chan, are you alright?~"

"Yeah... It was a little bit more than I could handle but... Is that kind of thing fairly common in this world?"

Upon arriving at the inn and sitting down on the bed, Chris-san took a seat beside me and gently stroked my cheek. He looked concerned.

Is it normal for things like that to happen?

When I was staying in Pedrel, I never heard about that kind of thing. It never occurred to me that unmarried couples would also decide to have a child since, in Pedrel, the iam fruit was managed by the church.

Or maybe only this village is like that?

"Well... I can't say it's not uncommon... It depends on the location but in a place with a small population like this village, they tend to do things like that. Our nation doesn't have any rule that prohibits that kind of practice or intervenes with it either. As long as all parties involved consent to it, we don't see any problem with it."

Fer-san, who took a seat in front of Chris-san, explained it to me. His eyebrows were furrowed slightly, he looked hesitant to explain it.

"Is that so...."

In a village with a small population like this one, that means they also don't have many adults capable of fighting against monsters. Maybe that's why they need to search for stronger individuals for the sake of their village.

Well, as long as there's consent, they are free to do as they please though.

It is something that I can never do but I don't have any right to tell them to stop either. I guess I need to stop dwelling on this subject.

"I've had someone tell me something similar before though."

"Right. Someone once told me to stay by their side for only a week while the fruit effect of iam fruit is still active."

Sig-san said that as he plopped down on the bed. Chris-san nodded in agreement, sharing similar experience as Sig-san. I knew it. They are both very popular so of course someone must've said something like that to them.

I heard you can have a chance to get pregnant within a week after eating iam fruit. I guess that person was like "It's only for a week! Let's have a baby within that week!"

"Even though I've renounced my right to inherit the throne, but technically speaking I'm still a royalty. I can't just go around popping babies everywhere and to be honest, I never have the desire to use iam fruit with anyone before."

Fer-san gathered a strand of my hair today, which I had left untied today and told me that as he kissed my hair. I guess he got a point. If Fer-san were to make children here and there, it would definitely cause a problem in the future.

Ah, if our children happened to be Fer-san's children, I wonder what would happen? I know we already decided to just let things flow naturally as it is but if the child were to be born with striking similarities to Fer-san, does that mean my child will be a royal? Well, since the king has given us his approval for our marriage, I'm sure everything will be fine.

"No, I never used iam fruit either, you know?"

"Me neither~"

"Ah, yes. It's fine. I already know without you guys telling me that."

Seemingly flustered, Sig-san and Chris-san immediately explained that they had never made any children with anyone before. They immediately refused anyone who approached them with that kind of intention. It seemed they were worried about their image in my head.
