She  hit my chest, indicating that she was out of breath from our passionate kisses. Reluctantly, I pulled back, respecting her need for air.

"Don't even think about divorce with that little brain of yours because you're stuck with me forever," I teased, my voice laced with determination.

Unable to contain my emotions, I leaned in once again and kissed her fiercely, the intensity fueled by the fear and anger swirling inside me.

I hungrily sucked on her lips, savoring the taste as if it were my last meal. After a few intense minutes, I reluctantly pulled away, both of us gasping for air.

As I got up, she looked at me with a frown in her eyes, confusion and desire swirling in their depths.

"Stay here," I ordered, my tone firm yet tinged with a hint of urgency.

Leaving the room briefly, I hurried to our bedroom and returned with the first aid box in my hands, determined to ease her pain.

Taking her hands gently in mine, she winced as I began to clean and dress her wounds. My heart ached at the sight of her discomfort, wishing I could erase the hurt I had caused.

Once I finished tending to her injuries, she slowly stood up and climbed into bed, pulling the duvet around herself for comfort.

"Come to our room," I urged softly, but she remained still, pretending to be asleep.

Despite her pretending to be asleep, I knew she was far from it. Her stubbornness matched mine, and I wasn't about to let her retreat into silence.

Scooping her up in bridal style, she struggled in my arms, her protests falling on deaf ears as I carried her towards our room.

"Leave me," she demanded, her voice cold and distant, but I refused to heed her words.

"Never," I muttered firmly.

As we entered our room, I tossed aside the pillows surrounding our kids' sleeping forms. I gently placed her next to Vihan.

Tonight, the presence of our children acted as a barrier between us.

I watched silently as Vihan snuggled up to her, his little arms wrapping around her. A twinge of jealousy prickled within me at the sight, an unexpected pang of envy towards my own son.

But I quickly pushed aside those feelings, reminding myself that I had my daughter beside me. "At least I have Vrihanika," I murmured to myself, attempting to suppress the jealousy that threatened to consume me.

As I woke up the next morning, I found my daughter's tiny hand encircling my neck while Vihan's arm was draped around Vrihanika's waist, cuddling her gently. I scanned the room, but Adhya was nowhere to be found, not even in the bathroom.

Glancing at the clock, I noted the time: 7 o'clock. With my office starting at 9 and Vihan's school at 8:30, there wasn't much time left for us to get ready and out the door.

After releasing myself from the comforting grip of our children, I headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. Emerging moments later, I expected to find my office attire neatly laid out on the bed as Adhya always did. However, to my surprise, there were no clothes waiting for me.

A sense of unease crept over me as I realized that Adhya hadn't attended to her usual task. She always chose my office attire and expertly tied my tie, but today, her absence left me feeling lost.

Making my way to the wardrobe, I hastily selected a suit, but the knot in my tie remained undone.

"Is she really that mad?" I thought
