This had to be the most ignominious moment of my life.
Before I could say anything, Troye slid his hand around my waist and pulled me close, sending shivers up my spine.

"You didn't tell her about us?" He asked.

What in the world..

He then laughed and pulled away. Deeyola looked at me with amusement.

"Kidding. We're just friends." He said, scratching the back of his neck. "I'm Troye."

I literally can't breathe..

I let out a nervous laugh, not daring to look at Deeyola. Oh, the questions she's gonna ask me later..

"Nice to meet you Troye. I'm Deeyola. I just moved in the opposite house." She introduced herself. "I was about to leave now. Have fun you two."

She winked at me and walked out of my room, closing the door behind her.

She didn't have to wink. And she certainly didn't have to close the door.

"You have a nice room." Troye said. He too, like Deeyola, walked over to the bookshelf. "This is a cool collection. You have to let me borrow them sometime."

This guy is really perfect now.

"Sure." I smiled.

You don't give your books to anybody. Remember?

Well, Troye could have my heart and I wouldn't mind.

"So, lets go." Troye said walking towards me.
"Huh?"
"We're going out."

I'm going to pass out.

"It's a school night. I don't think my mom would let me go.." I said.
"Oh, I just got her permission." He grinned.

I stared at him in disbelief. My mom was pretty cool, but she would never let me go out on a school night. Let me rephrase that. She would never let me go out on a school night, with a boy I've just met.

"She loves me already." He smirked. "Let's go now."

We walked down the stairs, into the living room where my mom and dad were watching television.

"Can we leave now, Mr. Anderson?" Troye asked my dad. "I promise I'll take care of your daughter and I'll drop her home safely, before it gets too late."

I nervously looked at dad. To my surprise, he didn't look mad or uncomfortable.

"Sure. That would be nice for Mavis." My dad smiled.
"Have fun you two." Mom walked us to the door.

Who are these people and what have they done to my parents? Are they really okay with me wandering off with this boy?

"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"It's a surprise." He said. I've honestly never seen anyone look so hot while driving.

Shut up Mavis.

"I don't like surprises. They're scary." I frowned.
"Do I scare you?" He chuckled.
"N-no." I looked down at my hands awkwardly.

Dammit.

"Are you sure, Mavis?" He teased. "You know you look adorable when you blush."
"Stop that Troye." I mumbled.
He laughed.
"Music okay?" He asked.
"Okay" I said.
***

"Troye, tell me where we're going?" I asked, starting to get a little impatient.
"We're almost there." He said.
I groaned and rested my head on the seat.
20 minutes later Troye stopped his car and we both got out. I stared at the place in awe, looking at how magnificent everything was. It was a beautiful and serene, tree lined meadow with a lake. The scent was so refreshing. I kneeled down ran my fingers through the grass that tickled the tips of my fingers. I could stay here forever.
