"Does he really make you happy?" Deeyola asked me for the umpteenth time.
The girls and I were chilling at Deeyola's house. When I told her that I was dating Troye, she immediately started shooting millions of questions at me. Rochelle, just like Deeyola, had the same reaction.
"Yeah, Mavis.." Rochelle was on a video call with us and I could tell by her expression that she wanted to be here right now. "Does he really make you happy? I've met him and he seemed like an amazing guy-"
"Guys, you both need to calm down. Troye is a nice guy. He wouldn't dream about hurting Mavis." Allison interjected and I shot her a grateful smile.
"He's your cousin. Of course you're going to take his side." Taylor rolled her eyes, earning a glare from Allison.
"We have all grown up together. Don't act like you don't know him." Allison narrowed her eyes at Tay.
"We're just worried." Deeyola gave me a small smile. It was surprising how all these people cared about me even othough I just moved here.
"Well, he has my consent even though he didn't ask." Rochelle joked. "Did he kiss you yet? Did my baby have her first kiss?"
"No!" I answered a little too fast, making my self groan internally as all their ears perked up instantly.
"Did he happen to sneeze while sucking your lips off?" Deeyola asked.
"Ew no, he didn't!" I said, feeling disgusted. I slapped my forehead when the truth dawned upon me.
"You're one smart lady, Deeyola." Taylor hooted and Deeyola bowed gracefully.
"Details!" Lucy shrieked. "Is he a good kisser? Did he shove his tongue in your mouth?"
"Lucy, shut your hole! This is my cousin we're talking about." Allison groaned.
"Was it a steamy kiss?" Lucky ignored Allison.
"Erm, somebody make her stop." Deeyola looked at Lucy like she had grown two heads.
"I just want to know." Lucy scowled at us.
"No, you don't." Tay smacked Lucy's head.
"Alright, enough of boy talk. Let's watch a movie." Allison said.
And that's how we ended up having a Harry Potter marathon.
***
Allison and I were in my room, getting ready for our double date.
"You know I've been dreaming about this since forever." Allison said with a cheerful voice. "I've always wanted to go on a double date."
"Do you have any idea where we're going?" I asked her as I put on my gloss.
"Nope." Allison shook her head. "Jacob wouldn't tell me no matter what."
Just then there was a knock on the door and my mom entered. "The boys are here." She said. "You both look stunning."
"Thank you Mrs. Anderson." Allison said, earning a playful glare from mom.
"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Mary?" Mom asked.
"Sorry." Allison grinned.
After mom clicked our pictures because that's what moms tend to do all the time, Allison and I sat in my living room, flipping through the channels on TV, waiting for the boys.
The door bell rang a few minutes later. Allison opened the door to reveal the boys. Jacob and Troye looked at each other with worried expressions as Allison narrowed her eyes at them.
"Spill." She demanded, putting her hands on her hips and I raised my eyebrows at her not being able to understand the situation.
"I always know when they've done something wrong." Allison said.
"Promise you won't get mad?" Jacob pressed his lips together.
"The thing is-" Troye began but before he could say anything more, he was cut off by a familiar voice.
"What's taking so long?"
Allison and I looked over the boys' shoulders to see Jennifer walking up to us.
"Why is she here?" Allison glared at them and Troye shot me an apologetic look.
"Hi Allison. Come on guys. We're getting late." Jennifer whined. "Oh hey Mavis. I didn't see you there."
Oh sure she didn't.
I shot Allison an annoyed look. "She's coming with us?" Allison asked Jacob, choosing to ignore Jennifer and earned a nod from him.
Well this is going to be a long night..
***Hello, my lovelies.
I'm so sorry for making you all wait so much.
This is just a filler chapter. I know you all probably want to strangle me right now.
I promise I'll post a longer chapter real soon.
I love you all.
