There wasn't a word to describe the way his soft lips were pressed against my own. He kissed me so gently yet passionately, pulling me closer, diminishing the little space that was left between us. His lips seemed to fit perfectly in mine and I couldn't help but melt into his arms and get lost in the moment, forgetting every single thing around me. My attention was solely on him. His pace was slow as his lips moved against mine. Nobody makes me feel like he does. His mere touch was enough to ignite a fire in my chest, warming my whole body. I rest my hands on his chest, only to feel his heart beating as fast as mine. He ran his fingertips up my arm, leaving a trail of goosebumps.

We pulled away from each other, completely breathless as Troye rested his forehead against mine, his arms still around me. He had a ghost of a smile on his face as he gently tucked the stray strands of hair  behind my ear.

"What are you doing to me, Mavis Anderson?" He whispered, his breath fanning my face. I could feel myself turning bright red as he cupped my cheek.

I studied his face carefully as he looked down at me. His tousled hair took his perfection to a whole new level. His light brown eyes looked depthless and beautiful, illuminated by the moon light.

"Uh so I've been meaning to ask you something." Troye took a hold of my hand. "I can't say that I love you, cause I have no idea what love is since I've never gone through all of this before, but I really like you Mavis. All I know is that you're the first person I want to see in the morning and the last before I go to sleep at night, even if that's corny and makes me sound like a complete idiot." He says rubbing the back of his head, and a shy smile makes it's way onto my face. "We've not known each other for long, but I already feel myself falling for you. And sometimes I feel like I'm annoying you when I follow you around everywhere, but I can't help it. I have no idea what happens to me when you're around. You drive me insane, Mavis." The words come out of his mouth softly, and I freeze, gawking at him. "Mavis Anderson, will you be my girlfriend?"
His question catches me off guard. Even after what he just told me, I wasn't expecting him to ask that.

Holy bananas.

"Uh." I don't think I'm functioning right now. "Maybe." I blurt out.

The hell, Mavis? Who even says that?

Troye looked at me with an amused expression. "Let me rephrase that. If it's a yes, breathe." He smirks, making me laugh.

"Oh look, you're breathing. Seems like you're my girlfriend now." He shrugs and I hit him playfully.

"You're something else Troye." I shake my head, feeling giddy with happiness.

He smiled and pulled me into a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye Troye." I kissed his cheek.

The house was quiet when I stepped in. I sauntered up the stairs making sure not to create noise.
I had changed and snuggled up in bed when there was a soft knock on my door. My mom slowly opened it and walked over to my bed, settling down beside me.

"Hi mom." I smiled, feeling nervous. I had to tell her about Troye, and eve though I knew she wouldn't object, I was flipping out.

"How was your date? Where did he take you?" Mom asked, gently running her hand through my locks.
Mom's smile grew wider as I described my whole date and it calmed me down a bit. I had yet to tell her that he asked me out.

"So, mom.." I played with my fingers. "Troye asked me to be his girlfriend." I took a glance at her, scared of her reaction.

"Did you say yes?" She asked, her tone very calm.

I slowly nodded.

"Good."

"Wh- what?" I gaped at her. "That's all you have to say? You're not going to ask me anything?"

"Troye had already taken my permission." Mom laughed.

This boy never failed to surprise me.

"He's a nice boy, Mavis. I'm glad you met him."

"Does dad know too?" I asked.

"Nope. That you're gonna have to deal with tomorrow." She gave me a mischievous smile, making me groan.

"I can't wait." I rolled my eyes.

"Me neither." Mom winked, walking out of my room.

"You look great today, dad." I was seated at the dining table with my parents, having breakfast.

"What do you want?" Dad said, not even looking at me.

He knows me so well.

"What do you mean? It was a genuine compliment." I frowned.

"I look great huh?" He asked.

"Absolutely."

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Quit it Mavis. What do you want?"

"Fine." I groaned and gave in. I looked at mom, expecting her to help, but instead I earned a smug smile from her. My mom is a teenager trapped in a woman's body, I tell you.

"So dad.." I tried to ignore the lump forming in my throat. "I'm dating Troye.."

"So?"

What the hell.

"Seriously?" I felt my jaw hit the ground.

"What?"

"Did you hear me, dad? I said I'm dating Troye."

"I get it. So?"

I turned to mom, who mirrored my expression, gaping at dad.

"You're not gonna get your gun and go after him?"

"Do you want me to?" He asked me in a tone that gave away the fact that he thought I was stupid.

"Uh, no?" My answer came out more like a question.

"Mavis, just go to school already." Dad said, going back to reading the morning paper.

"I don't have normal parents." I muttered, grabbing my backpack and heading towards the door.

"I heard that." Both of them said at once, making me chuckle.

Things are never normal when you're a part of the Andersons.
