"What do we do now?"
"Well there's plenty things you could do, short stuff. There's shutting up, there's locking yourself in your room, there's-"
"I think I got the memo." Y/N interrupted Jax with a bored tone. He smirked.
"Alrighty my little musketeers! Since we don't have any adventure planned for today, we're gonna go to engage in ridery at the digital carnival!"
Caine swooped down in front of everyone.
"Ugh, I don't wanna go to the stupid carnival." Zooble complained.
"Don't worry, Zooble! I never cared about your opinion anyways!"
Zooble groaned.
"Let's get going!" Caine made a flourishing motion with one of his long, red-sleeved arms. There was a cartoonish whooshing noise as their surroundings suddenly changed to the multicolored carnival.
"Go and have fun my little friends!"
Everyone stood around awkwardly for a bit, then saw something that caught their eyes and went to do their own thing.
Y/N seemed like she was interested in the giant red and gold Ferris Wheel, she walked over and started to get in a cart when a purple arm tried to hold her back.
"Excuse me, Jax." She said coolly, gently pushing his arm up so she could pass.
He grabbed onto the back of her shirt collar, forcing her to move back.
"What do you want?"
"Nothing." The rabbit answered in his usual tone, then walked away, leaving a very confused Y/N.
"What-?" Y/N rolled her eyes then finally got in the cart, she was excited since she had never been on a Ferris Wheel before. She had a fear of heights but thought that going up in the cart would be fun.
She stared out the side and was looking into the white, blocky void, as the cart climbed higher and higher, but then she suddenly lurched forward violently.
"What's going on?" She stood up and started walking around the cart to see if she could see anything below, then she knew.
"JAX YOU JERK! LET ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!" She screamed to a purple figure who was at the bottom, working the machine.
"I'm good! Thank you, though!" He replied with an evil grin.
Y/N then started hyperventilating at the sight of how high up she was. She was at the very top.
Her legs went weak and she dropped to her hands and knees on the floor. It didn't help the bottom of the cart was see-through.She could feel her stomach getting queasy.
Down below, Jax was giggling to himself, he could see everything.
"Jax! That's not kind! Let her down!" Ragatha stormed over.
"I'm good." He replied, crossing his arms and shifting his weight to one hip, looking up.
"Then I will." Ragatha pushed Jax aside and grabbed the lever and pulled it to start up the machine again.
Y/N's body lurched again and she hit her head on the pole in the center. She collapsed and folded herself into a ball.
The cart slowly came down and to a stop at the bottom.
Y/N stumbled out dizzily and was supporting her weak body on the railing next to Jax and Ragatha.
"See that wasn't so bad~" Jax leaned next to her on the railing. She was still breathing heavy.
Ragatha started gently rubbing Y/N's back as she slowly turned to look at him.
She opened her mouth to speak but what came out wasn't words.
Black vomit spewed out of her mouth and all over Jax's upper body. His eyes widened and his square, black pupils went extremely small.
"I'm gonna... go..." He said quietly, then ran to the nearest trash can and threw up himself.
"Not gonna lie, he deserved it. Nice going new stuff!" Ragatha winked at the shaking figure.
Y/N breathlessly chuckled and smiled up at the rag doll.
A couple minutes later Ragatha helped Y/N to her feet and both began walking towards the tent as Caine called for dinner.
