The carts darted off in a blur, causing Caine to grab onto his black top hat and Bubble to be left cartoonishly spinning.

"Lap one!" Caine announced loudly.

The carts were turning this way and that, going extremely fast. Jax and Zooble were occasionally bumping into each other purposefully, then Y/N had sped up and spun into them, their carts were now scraping against the wall all in a straight line.

So far, Kinger was in first place (somehow), Ragatha was in second, Jax was in third, Zooble was in fourth, Y/N was in fifth, Pomni was in sixth and Gangle was in seventh.

Y/N looked up and saw a sharp turn coming up and winced.

"You scared~?" Jax jeered.

"I'm not scared. I'm just concerned."

"Same thing shortcake~"

Y/N actually lightly blushed. She liked being called that, despite it mocking her height.

She took a deep breath as she was bounding towards the edge, closed her eyes, then turned last second, the tail end of her cart slamming into a silver tree.

She opened her eyes to see that she was still alive and in the game, then exclaimed with joy, turning back to face Jax with shock.

"I did it!"

"Good work, kid. But can you make that?"

She quickly looked to where he was pointing to, then saw a huge gap between her and Ragatha's cart. She gasped.

"Just keep driving," Jax called from behind. "You'll be fine."

"How do I know you're not lying to me?!" Y/N yelled anxiously.

"You can't. You just gotta trust me." He seriously replied. It was the complete opposite of his usual sarcastic demeanor.

She sighed then sped up even more, grimacing, knowing the big jump was coming. She then suddenly felt herself weightless, flying through the air like a cloud, no worries or cares in the world. She felt so free and filled with joy.

Her feeling was then interrupted when she landed back on the solid ground with a heavy thud.

She took another deep breath.

"There you go. You're getting the hang of it."

Y/N turned back around and noticed that Jax was smiling at her. She grinned back, feeling the boost of adrenaline kick in as she was making crazy turns and flips now.

"Well look who's a daredevil!" Ragatha exclaimed as Y/N passed her.

Y/N's smile could only broaden.

"Lap two!" Caine called.

"Already?"

"Be on the lookout for the hidden item now, my superstars!"

Y/N completely forgot about the main objective.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a glowing, rainbow tunnel.

"A shortcut!" She thought.

She made a hard right turn, and darted into the tunnel, slamming into the walls from the whiplash of her entering. Her breath left her as she stared up and down the walls and ceiling with awe.

She suddenly snapped back and remembered what she was doing, then raced around, trying to find a crevice in the wall that held the secret item.

She saw something catch her eye.
