My face was still hot from the events of the previous day as I was slowly eating my breakfast. I didn't have much of an appetite at all. I saw that Jax didn't either. He was just playing with his food.

Ragatha noticed how we had sat as far away from each other.

"What's up?" She asked with a gentle tone.

"Nothing." Me and Jax answered quietly in unison. We quickly looked up at each other.

"Hmm. Sure looks like something's up. Neither of you are eating anything." She pointed out.

"Don't worry about it." I started shoveling food into my mouth.

Ragatha just hummed and continued eating.

"Since I'm running out of ideas, I decided to do a special adventure today that you guys should be familiar with!" Caine announced the next morning.

"What is it?" Pomni asked.

"Karaoke!" He snapped his fingers and soon everyone was at a giant stage, with hundreds of NPC's in the audience.

"Oh nononono. I can't sing." I said.

"Sure you can, shortcake." Jax nudged me with his elbow. "If it would make you feel better, we can do a duet."

I was slightly surprised by his offer. "Ok.." I sighed.

First up was Zooble. She sang WAP. (Do NOT look that song up 😭) Then it was Gangles turn, then Kinger's and now it was finally our turn.

"What song do you wanna do?" Jax asked, turning to me.

"Have you heard of 'You Don't Know You're Beautiful' by One Direction?"

"Oh cool... But what song do you wanna sing?"

"JAX! That's not what I- Ughhhhh.." My face turned red as a tomato with Jax's little tease.

He chuckled a little. "Sure. We can do that one."

Caine then called them on stage.

"Let's go." Jax then gently grabbed my hand and led me up the small stairs to the stage.

I jumped. I wasn't expecting that at all.

"Next up is Jax and Y/N singing 'You Don't Know You're Beautiful'!" Caine announced to the crowd of NPC's.

The music then started and Jax started singing the first part. I was amazed. He sang surprisingly very well. It was easy to get lost in the song with his incredible voice.

Soon, my part came. I knew I didn't sing very well, but who cares? It's still fun to try. I saw Jax staring at me from the corner of my eye. I guess he liked it.

Then his part soon came again, but this time I couldn't pay attention to the music. I don't know what happened, but I started breathing heavily and sweating. My anxiety spiked up, and was almost too much to bear. My stomach started churning and time seemed unreal.

"Y/N?" I heard Jax's voice. Apparently I skipped some lines. "..You alright?"

I couldn't get any words out. My mind and heart were racing. I couldn't think straight. The only emotion I felt was fear and doom. Tears formed in my eyes.

"Uh..." Jax's face turned from a small smile to pure concern.

I didn't know what to do. I couldn't let anyone see me in this state. While still breathing rapidly, I ran back stage and plopped myself against the wall, my back slamming into it hard, then I curled up in a ball. I was shaking extremely hard.

I heard the door swing open and heard rapid footsteps approaching me.

"Y/N!"

It was Jax.

"Y/N what happened?"

I still couldn't compose any words. Suddenly, I felt Jax's arm around me. I would have looked up but I didn't want him to see me crying.

"Hey, it's gonna be ok." His voice was soft and soothing, the opposite of his usual demeanor. He started awkwardly rubbing my back. He didn't know quite how to help in this situation, but he was trying his best. He seemed very worried and concerned with my shaky and fast breathing.

The door swung open again.

"Oh my! Are you alright?"

It was Caine.

All I could do was shake my head.

Jax and Caine's eyes met.

"No. I think she's having a panic attack." Jax replied

My breathing was starting to slow down, along with my mind.

"What happened?" Caine asked.

"I-I don't know..." I managed to answer after a short pause. My voice was shaking and I was stuttering a lot more than usual. "I don't know anything could have triggered an-ything." Tears were still falling down my face.

I felt Jax's arm slide away and drop to my side. I slightly jumped and blushed when I felt him grab my hand. My head was still buried in my knees.

"I'll give you some space. I'll tell the other circus members that you'll continue the song later." Caine said, then he opened the door and stepped back onto the stage. The NPC crowd started cheering.

The room was filled with silence, heavy breathing and occasional sobs.

After a couple minutes, Jax spoke up. "Will you be alright, shortcake?"

"I will be... I hope.."

After my response, his grip on my hand tightened.

"Yeah.. I think I'll be ok... T-thanks."

He seemed confused. "Thanks? For what?"

I lifted my head. "For being here."

He cracked a small smile. "I do what I can."

He put his arm around me again and I rested my head on his side (You're short like me lol).

After a few seconds, I looked up at him. "I'm feeling much better."

"That's good." He replied. "..Do you wanna finish the song?"

"Sure."

We stood, up and he led me up the small steps while holding my hand onto the stage. The song restarted and we both sang out parts. Nobody skipped a line and we were on beat. Once we sang the chorus together we had a perfect harmony.

Once the song ended, he walked up to me and grabbed by hand, then we both took a bow. Ragatha, Gangle, Pomni and Kinger all clapped along with the NPC crowd while Zooble just stayed silent with her arms crossed.

When we were backstage again, Caine approached us.

"I'm glad to see you perked up!"

"Thanks.. But I don't think I would be this better without Jax." I blushed slightly and looked up at Jax and he smiled.
