Teasing

I stared after him, my lips slightly parted in surprise.

Why would he do that for me? I thought. My thoughts were soon cut short though. I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder behind me. I turned around to see Gangle holding a sketchbook.

"I was wondering if you... would want to draw with me?" She asked, barely able to hear because of her soft voice.

"Of course!" I answered cheerfully.

"Thank you!" She responded happily.

She motioned for me to follow her, then started walking over to a plastic table that had each part a different color with four froggy chairs all around it. She sat down then patted the seat next to her. I took the chair she was patting then took the sketchbook she was offering me.

We were both drawing and coloring for about 30 minutes when I felt a small stream of wind on my neck.

Breathing?

I turned around to see Jax peaking over my shoulder at my sketchbook.. Which had an in-progress drawing of him.

"Ooh~ What's this Y/N?" He asked teasingly.

I was blushing from embarrassment. "I- Um- Just a drawing.." I mumbled.

"Hmm.. Lemme get a better look." He grabbed my sketchbook and held it far out of my reach as he examined it.

"Jax! Give it back!" I snapped.

"Nah.. Just gimme a sec.." He turned the drawing, still looking deeply into it.

"Jax, give it back to them!" Gangle pleaded.

Jax chuckled softly. "Wow, Y/N.. I didn't know you had a crush on me~" He teased.

"JAX-" I was now too flustered to answer properly, my face was bright red like a tomato and I was slightly sweating.

Gangle looked like she was concerned, but as if she was holding back giggles at the same time.

I stood up and rushed over to him, trying to reach my sketchbook.

"Hand it back!" I exclaimed.

"No.. I don't think so... I like this drawing.."

"Please??" I begged.

He looked at me with a smug smile, then held it up higher, finding me jumping up to reach it amusing.

I groaned as I strained to reach my drawing.

He was chuckling as I was leaping up and down to try and take my sketchbook back.

Right as I was about to reach it, he ripped the drawing out of the notebook, folded it, and then put it in his pocket.

"Wha-?"

"I said I liked it.. Is it okay if I keep it?" He asked, but I already knew he would keep it anyways if I said no.

"I- Sure.." I muttered.

"Thanks, shortie." He patted my head gently, then left for his room with the drawing still in his pocket.

Gangle and I just stared after him.

"Sorry.." She whispered.

"Huh? Oh.. It's fine.." A small smile formed on my face. She looked a little surprised at my face expression.

I turned back around and began drawing again. She was looking at me as if she wanted to ask a question, but she kept it to herself.

We both resumed drawing in silence, the only sound being the scraping of the pencils against the page.
