I spent a while admiring my new wardrobe that Caine had gifted me. It had so many various color options to choose from; from red to purple, and in all sorts of patterns, textures and designs.
I pondered for about 10 more minutes, then decided on a dark blue tank dress which was just a tad bit shorter in the front and longer in the back- Making it easier to dance in.
I tied my hair back into two, small and messy pigtails using holographic scrunchies for a little flare. I also put on some black thigh high boots which had laces all the way up to the knee.
I took one, long look back at my room, then shut the door and headed for the new dance floor.

The room was bright with the rainbow lights which were coming from the giant disco ball in the center. There was a medium sized square in the ground for a dance floor, with the classic punch bowl on the refreshments table behind it by a few feet and some bleachers on the opposite end.
I looked around and saw that only Zooble and Gangle were there. They were standing by the punch bowl, having an awkward yet casual conversation.
Gangle had put a pink bow on her head, and Zooble was wearing a white dress shirt along with a short, black skirt with suspenders to match, along with a black bow tie to complete the look.
I was awkwardly sitting on the bleachers for a few moments, when I finally saw Jax walk in the room, wearing a black sequins tux.
He quickly spotted me, then walked over and sat down next to me. "You been waiting long, shortcake?" He asked
"Nah not too long. Hm. 'Didn't know you liked sequins, sparkles. Glitter ain't really my thing, to be honest."
He hummed. "I thought girls liked glitter."
"Meh. Not my thing.. At all."
He chuckled a little at my response.
He sighed happily and looked around, then turned his face towards mine. "..May I have this dance?"
I chuckled sheepishly. "I'm not much of a dancer. I only learned how like two hours ago."
"Well, that makes two of us then. We can stumble our way through this together." He offered his hand. "May I?"
My smile grew wider as I took the surprisingly gentle, gloved hand that he offered.
Soon, everyone arrived as we slowly made our way to the dance floor and went either to the punch bowl or the bleachers for the time being.
He looked down at me, and grinned as he pulled me closer to him. "Alright, shortie. You ready to show these clowns what you're made of?"
I nodded, then we started gently swaying to the music.
Ragatha saw us, then nudged Kinger to look over at us too.
"I knew there was something special in-between them." She whispered to him.
He sighed joyfully. "Romance is so magical. I remember when me and Queenie would dance like that. Of course, it was a long time ago."
Ragatha looked over at him. "..Do you wanna see if you've still got it?"
Kinger's eyes squinted in smiles as he took her hand as she led him to the dance floor.
Kinger and Ragatha were now dancing next to Y/N and Jax.
The music changed from a soft, slow song to a more high-energy bop. Jax looked at me, then let go of my waist and grabbed one of my hands, then lifted it up and suddenly spun me elegantly, my dress flowing behind me.
"Not too bad, shortcake." Jax commented with a grin.
"Thanks." I replied breathlessly.
He pulled me back towards him, then we started waltzing again, but a little faster, with him spinning me occasionally.
"You're not too bad now, are you?" He asked with a bright, genuine smile.
I looked up and grinned at him with pure joy.
My happiness had apparently filled him with confidence. His smile widened as he suddenly started to slowly dip me, making sure I was comfortable and supported.
"Easy now, chillax and let me do all the work."
I started uncontrollably making random flustered noises.
He noticed my noises and smirked, clearly amused since he decided to dip me lower. His voice turned to a deep and playful tone. "Oh what's that? You're a little flustered there, aren't you? Can't take a little dip, huh?"
"Where the heck did you learn to dance?" I asked breathlessly.
He laughed lightly, enjoying the effect he had on me. He lifted me back up from the dip, still maintaining a firm hold on me. "I've picked up a few things here and there." He replied coolly.
"Really? I'd never think you'd be the dancing type."
He shrugged. "I'm just full of surprises."
Suddenly, the lights dimmed out and the room was filled with parts of everyone's outfits softly glowing in the dark. We smiled at each other and continued energetically dancing to the upbeat music, him occasionally spinning and dipping me.
Soon, the music slowed down again and we were back to slow dancing. We were almost embracing each other as we waltzed, his chin resting on my head.
Then, he leaned down to my ear and whispered: "You look beautiful tonight."
My cheeks flushed. "T-thank you."
We danced for about an hour and a half more, and then Caine concluded the night with Bubble, celebrating the first prom, then we all went our separate ways.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning.. princess."
