AFTER SERAFINA HAD overheard them when they thought she was asleep, she kept her distance. She always had a plan to leave last minute just in case. She was glad Aang and Katara had defended her, but now she knew what Sokka thought of her.

Katara and Aang had noticed her change, and were as nice as they could be with her. Sokka, on the other hand, was stubborn and refused to apologize for any of his actions, regardless of if he knew that she knew about what he had said at the Earth Kingdom. Serafina avoided him as per usual, making sure that anything she had said was directed towards Aang or Katara.

Though, before they had left the Earth Kingdom, Katara and Serafina had traded for an outfit from one of the stores. Sera had mentioned wanting something less restricting and easy to maneuver in on their travels, and Katara thankfully agreed. While in the shops too, she bought a bag to keep her clothes in and all of their money.

Serafina's new outfit was breathable, but odd to wear. She fit in, though. That's all that matters. It was a dark green shoulder cut tank top, with a pair of brown pants that looked like jogger pants. On each side of her leg was a flap of cloth, like if a loincloth was seperated to each thigh. Of course, she had to have Katara's help with all of it. Even the shoes. Weirdly enough, their 'socks' were like a leather wrap-around. Tied together like tennis shoes. She had other shoes she could wear, but ultimately decided on just wearing the leather parts as it felt easier to walk in. Lastly, Katara had a wrap that she had put around Serafina's forearms.

Now, she felt like she fit in. Or felt like she looked like she fit in. That was all that really mattered.

They had taken a break from traveling in the forest, trees surrounding them on every side. Sunlight creeped in through leaves and the branches of the trees. Aang was leaning against a tree, relaxing while Katara did her own thing. Serafina was laying on her back, messing around with Momo as the lemur rushed to attack her hands anywhere she put them. Like her cat from back home.

Katara had given her some warm tea earlier for her throat. It was getting better, but since she hurt it worse while screaming in the Earth Kingdom, Katara told her to avoid talking for a few days just so nothing makes it worse. Serafina reluctantly agreed.

Sokka walked up with his bag, leaning down next to Katara.

"Great. You're back, what's for dinner?" Katara asks as everyone sits up and looks at what Sokka scavenged. They were all extremely hungry, as they had barely eaten since they left the Earth Kingdom. Serafina sat up and looked at Sokka's bag he plopped onto the ground while he presented his findings. She made sure to never look directly at Sokka ever since she realized his true opinions on her.

"We've got a few options. First, round nuts and some oval shaped nuts. Also some weird shaped nuts that might just be rocks." He says, handing the bag to Katara. "Dig in!" Serafina sighed and flopped back down onto the ground, returning to messing with Momo.

"Seriously, what else you got?" His sister asks again, expecting his words to be some sort of joke.

Serafina's stomach growled, while she watched Momo play with the rock Sokka had through his way. Momo inspected it, and went to hit the rock against the ground, but a large boom vibrated the ground and echoed through the forest as soon as it made contact with the dirt. Serafina shot up, her head snapping towards the sound. For a split second, she totally thought that was Momo's fault.

"What was that?" Sokka sat up instantly, as did everyone else did. Suddenly, another boom echoed through the forest and rumbled in the ground. Trees and leaves ruffled at the vibrations.
