THEY HADN'T EVEN gone to sleep yet when they heard Aang packing his things and trying to leave the village on Appa. Serafina felt a little hurt he was trying to leave by himself, but then she heard him talking to himself about wanting to keep them safe.

Thank god they had convinced him to let them come with him. Serafina had grown to like the people she's traveling with, given the small amount of time she's been with them. She missed her friends, and her family back home, but in the meantime without any explanation on how to get home, she's taken the time to settle in and get used to this crazy world of there's.

Once she accepted she'll be here for a while, she marveled at the magic of bending. Deep down in her heart, she wished she could bend, as she didn't think the people of this world didn't realize the beauty in it. She tried no to, of course, but when Katara or Aang bended water or air around her, she paid close attention and watched in awe.

"Come on boy, we got a long way to go!" Aang rushed Appa. Reluctantly, the flying bison flew faster. Serafina lounged in the saddle next to the water tribe siblings, humming to herself as she played around with Momo. He was much like a cat, she thought. Just like her cat back home. She was glad to have some type of animal like this to fill the hole her cat made while she was gone.

She watched as Katara gathered water from the clouds around them, having discovered clouds are made of water. Katara waterbended the water into her waterskin attached at her hip.

"That's so cool. I wish I could waterbend or something." Serafina thought out loud, watching Katara in longing.

Katara only laughed. "I would tell you that it's not that cool to make you feel better, but it's truly...amazing. Aang, we've got trouble!" She was interrupted as they turned back to see a ship following them in the waters below. Red flags tagged the poles on the ship, what Sera assumed to be Fire Nation.

"Yeah, and it's gaining fast!" Sokka yelled back to Aang.

Serafina scrambled up from her position, squinting at the people on the deck. She watched as something rose from the floor of the deck, and suddenly only seconds later a huge ball of fire was catapulting towards them. She widened her eyes.

"Fire ball!" Katara yelled.

"I'm on it!" Aang yelled, yanking Appa to the right. Serafina grabbed on to the edge of the saddle at the sudden action. She scrunched her nose at the horrible smell.

"Jesus, what, did he take a dump and throw it at us?" Serafina yelled over the wind.

"We need to get out of his range before he throws another one at us!" Katara yelled as smoke gathered around them.

"Can't you make Appa go any faster?" Sokka asked, holding his nose, a look of disgust on his face.

"Yeah, but there's just one little problem." Aang said, looking foward. Serafina looked down while holding her nose and breathing through her mouth as best as she could. She had seen a line of Fire Nation ships, probably dozens that surrounded the Fire Nation.

"If we go north and avoid the ships, we can go around the blockade. It's the only way." Aang looked back towards the group. Serafina watched as all of the ships circled their border, adrenaline pumping in her veins.

"There's no time!" Katara yelled. Serafina did a double take at the sun. She was right, they were losing time, and fast.

"This is exactly why I didn't want you to come. It's too dangerous." Aang retorted, an uneasy look to his young face.
