FOR THE ENTIRE trip, Serafina had deliberately avoided Sokka to the extent that even Aang had noticed something was off. Ever since their small interaction at the hut, Sera had been weary around him. She wasn't necessarily scared of him, more of just mildly-- extremely annoyed and irritated by his presence. All she knew was that she did not want to be near him and hopefully he felt the same.

For the couple stops for food, and breaks to let Appa rest, Sokka had started to watch Sera from a distance, carefully observing her actions and the way she would eat her food. It was like he was obsessed. Serafina felt her every move being watched, but ignored the boys weird habits. Katara would merely scoff at his actions, chalking it up to his deficiency with any girl his age. Aang would laugh and grin, finding his actions quite amusing. Serafina tried to ignore the way she felt his eyes burning into her back. Though, his behavior went unspoken. Alas, not in front of Serafina.

It got so intense, she couldn't sleep like she used to. Normally, she slept easily at home, her soft bed wrapped in a large white comforter blanket, warm and waiting for her whenever she got home from school. Now, the hard thin mattresses made it more difficult for her to sleep, and even more for her to wake up and get out of it. Sokka's newfound suspicion with her didn't help at all. Now staring at the darkness of the night on her side, or at the stars while the insects chirped at the moon. Only would she close her eyes when she thought someone else passed by, and would feign slumber until she was sure they were gone.

Their trip to the Earth Kingdom wasn't long. Serafina yawned as Appa walked with Sokka, Aang, and Katara. She stayed on Appa's saddle as they walked, resting as if to catch up on the sleep she missed. She could practically hear Sokka's scowl whenever she stayed on the saddle and they had hopped off of it. Katara merely hit his elbow with hers, urging him to forget her actions and just leave her to sleep.

Serafina was a terrible actor. And Katara was great at noticing things. (Unlike Sokka and Aang.)

"Welcome to the Earth Kingdom, City of Omashu!" Aang introduced the Earth Kingdom with an excited grin. A thin curved road built from rock led towards a large curvy kingdom built in the dessert. "I used to always come here to visit my friend, Bumi."

Serafina sat up from laying down, looking at the large kingdom. It was no doubt larger than a castle. Maybe four. The walls were enclosed, and she could tell by the designed that their trip inside wouldn't be a normal one. Then again, were they ever?

"Wow! We don't have cities like this in the South Pole." Katara said in shock.

Sokka's jaw was nearly dropped. His dramatics annoyed Sera. To the point she got tired of rolling her eyes after his every sentence. "They have buildings here that don't melt."

"Well, let's go slowpokes. The real fun is inside the city!" Aang exclaimed, hopping up a great height, already halfway down the hill they were to walk down.

Katara stopped him with a hand outwards. "Wait, Aang! It could be dangerous if people find out you're the avatar."

"You need a disguise." Sokka and Katara seemed to have the same mind. Serafina hopped off of Appa and stood next to Katara. She wondered why they didn't just waltz through the town like last time. They seemed to get out okay.

...

THEIR IDEA OF a disguise was... horrible. A stringy straw hat tied together by slim hay, making it look like very poorly made hair that was tied upward. A group of straw also made it look like he had a very large mustache, and Serafina couldn't not laugh at the sight. Sokka glared grimly at her, crossing his arms and admiring his 'work'.
