It's like the first book, but I've worked on the characters and their backstories a bit more so it makes sense to a certain degree. You can ask all the old/new characters!! But Just know, I will be drawing a couple cause the character look I want ca...
Rose awoke not so pleasantly to the sound of her phone ringing. She groaned and rubbed her eyes before sluggishly picking up her phone to look at who was calling at realms knows what time at night. 'Oracle' flashed on the screen. So, it was Olive huh? She sat up slightly, adjusting her weight to keep from flopping and falling off the bed before answering. "Hey, Olive. What's up? It's like, 2 in the morning dude." Rubbing her eyes once more, she looked at the clock next to her bed. 1:47 am. Eh, close enough. "Hey Rose, sorry to call but uh.... It happened again, and uhhh.... I could use some help." Rose paused as the cogs turned in her head. 'It'? What was- Oh. OHHHHH-
Adrenaline shot through her as she rushed to find some shoes and open her window. "Uhhhh, Rose?" "I'LL BE THERE IN LIKE 12 MINUTES, HANG TIGHT BUD!" She hung up the phone, and jumped out the window to start running before she realized she hadn't asked how close or far they were from their house. Ah. Shit. "Okay okay, they probably got a bit far considering there were certain things she couldn't hear screeching in the background. "Welp, let's just hope being a werewolf actually pulls through this time around. Thanks for the motivation me, you're welcome me NOW BOOK IT!!!" She started sprinting after the half-panicked conversation with herself ended.
Rose ran and ran, reeeeeaaaalllly regretting that she hadn't grabbed a coat before she dipped. Why did Olive have to live in a thick, dense forest? AND WHY'D IT HAVE TO BE SO COLD! She tried looking and looking in the previous spots she'd found them. Nothing. "OLIVE? OLIVE! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, I'M COMMIN' BUD!" She shouted, trying to listen for a reply. She couldn't hear the bitch, that was good at least. She shook her head. "Focus Rose! Come on, come on! Where could they be?" She continued to run, feeling the cold sting against her flesh as she searched. As she panted and leaned against a tree, she tried to listen in on something- ANYTHING other than her own heartbeat drumming in her ears.
She heard a shuffle, and a cough. Barely, but it was there. Without thinking, she sprinted toward the sound like it was a lifeline. She barely stopped herself from running as she found a blood trail leading to a fairly conscious and VERY bloody fox spirit. "Olive!" She cried as she practically lept to her friend. "Hey Rose, can you help me out? I don't think I can walk..." They chuckled dryly. Rose paused for a moment, before nodding. She picked her friend up and hoisted them onto her back. "You can go ahead and take a nap, Ollie. I'll let you know when we're back at my place." She said, as she started walking. Thank what few of her braincells were actually working that she left little markers pointing the way for her. Nothing big, but there, nonetheless. She sighed, and let the moonlight guide her back to her home to patch up her friend.
