We need to tell Sophia about this, about the mafia and she's scared I can tell, I told her we needed to explain everything and she just nodded

I had to make my father promise me he wouldn't threaten her or anything, because apparently he threatened Elijah when he found out.

I sit in my fathers office with Sophia who's leg is bouncing, and Elijah is in here too because apparently Evelyn is sleeping, we needed to explain to Sophia what's happening

"So..you run a mafia?" She asks and my father nods slowly i hold her hand as it slightly shakes "you cannot tell anyone about this, unless we're okay with it." He states and Sophia nods

She looks down at her hands before shooting up "I- does that person that was in my dorm have to do with it? What about the person I heard in your house during winter break?" She asks and we stare at her

My father leans over "what?" She stares between us "I- there was someone in my dorm, they made me break up with Silas? And I also heard something in your house at night.." she says nervously

"Selena." Elijah grumbled and she stares in confusion "you saw her, but you didn't pay attention to her, Soph" I tell her and she nods

"I still can't believe you trusted her." Elijah says rolling his eyes at my father "she's dead, we don't need to worry about her, and she wasn't supposed to die right away." He says

Sophia sits there and then zones out thankfully "if it wasn't for me Selena would've still been alive, so you're fucking welcome, Diaz, for saving both your life and your wife's life." He says scoffing

"Do you guys really have to argue every five minutes?" I ask

Sophia plays with her hair and stares at it frowning for some reason, I watch as she picks at the strands pulling her split ends apart

She tells me she hates pulling her split ends apart, i grab her hand and give it a slight squeeze "tomorrow we leave, get as much rest as you two possibly can, if your headmistress asks questions tell her to call me, I'll deal with her again." My father says and I nodded

I walk out of his office with Sophia and she stops walking and stares at the orange cat that's standing at the wall hitting her shadow.

"Is she okay?" She asks pointing to Cheeto, i shrug "she's an orange cat." I claim Sophia shrugs and walks over to Cheeto picking her up and petting her

The orange cat swings her arms around at Sophia we walk downstairs to the living room where my mom talks with Emilia and Claire.

"Oh-hi, I found your cat upstairs.." Sophia says towards Evelyn who's cleaning her crystals

She smiled at Sophia "I don't mind, you can hold her for now, just don't let her eat my crystals.." she trials off and Sophia nods sitting on the floor with cheeto

The cat tried eating the bows in Sophia's hair, she has her hair half up the bow is longer then she usually has them, but she still looks absolutely gorgeous

"Hey- I just made those." Sophia glared at Cheeto "you can always make more, Tesoro" she mocks me

After a while Elijah comes down staring at Evelyn "I thought you were sleeping." He says crossing his arms staring at Evelyn who shrugs

"I got bored..plus you touched my crystals you weirdo stalker." She says cleaning her crystals

Sophia stares at me confused and i shake my head and she continues playing with Cheeto but frowns when she walks away towards Elijah
