Toby's POV

Me and my sisters are at the hospital visiting our mom, we're in the lobby, and we told the receptionist that we were here to visit. She gave us our visitation tags and we to the elevators.

"Poor mom, I hate that this happened." I said.

"I know, I hope she's okay." Trina said.

"She's a strong woman guys, she'll be okay, I know it." Tori said.

We got to the floor where here room is and knocked on the door. We heard a deep voice that told us to come in and we walked into the room and saw dad sitting in a chair in the corner of the room next to the hospital bed where mom was.

"Hi dad." Us three whispered.

"Hey kids." He got up and hugged us.

"So how is she?" I asked.

"She's doing good, they might keep her another night if something goes wrong." He said.

Tori went over to the bed and slightly grabbed mom's hand. "Oh mom." She smiled.

"Man, first Tyler, and now mom!" I exclaimed.

"How is your friend Tyler?" Dad asked.

"He's doing better, I hung out with him yesterday." I explained.

"Good." Dad turned to Tori. "And how's my granddaughter?"

"She's been doing great, she's on the cheer squad and all." Tori explained.

"That's nice to hear." Dad smiled.

"Dad? Has mom been overworking herself?" Trina asked.

Dad nodded. "A little too much." He replied.

I sighed. "Why won't she settle down?" I said.

"She's a hard working woman." Dad shook his head.

"That's true, but there are times where she's gonna need to slow down." Tori added.

"I agree." Dad chuckled.

"Is she going to wake up." I looked over at mom.

"She will, she's just sleeping." Dad looked at her.

Moments later, mom started slowly waking up. All of us moved closer to her bedside and she opened her eyes as our faces lit up.

"Hi mom." I said.

She slowly tried to sit up but dad stopped her. "No no honey, relax." He said.

"How are you feeling?" Tori asked her.

"Did you sleep well?" Trina asked.

Mom slightly smiled at us. "H-hi my children." Her words slurred.

She looked at me and place her had on the side of my face and I smiled. She then looked an Tori and Trina and reached for them with her other hand and they both grabbed it. The doctor came in and was telling us that she's able to go home, but she has to take it easy and get plenty of rest. We thanked the doctor and he walked out.

"Oh yeah son, how's the rest of your friends and girlfriend?" He asked.

"They're all doing great, Zack proposed to Alice last week, so they are engaged now!" I lit up. "And Natalie is pregnant!"

"That's fantastic news." Dad said.
